| Customer Reviews: At last a Falstaff in the language of Shakespeare! January 25, 2003 KC (London, England) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This is a brilliant rendition of a wonderful opera. The musical values are first class. The singing is strong throughout. pMost importantly, in an opera which is one of Verdi's least "tuneful" we can understand the comedy in the libretto. The opera is fun.pIf you are not an Italian speaker buy this CD, it should be your first choice, it's a treat.
