Amazon.co.uk Review
A friendly warning: the 14-track IJubilee/I cash-in may be many things--but a Sex Pistols "Best Of" is not one of them. The maths is simple: IJubilee/I features all the singles by the#133; ahem#133; Sex Pistols. The actual genius rock roll band called the Sex Pistols only made four. The bulk of this collection, therefore, comprises the eight punxploitation horrors from IThe Great Rock 'n' Roll Swindle/I soundtrack released by the post-Johnny Rotten band and their desperate puppet-master Malcolm McLaren: "Friggin' in the Riggin'"; the sludge-rock demo version of the Monkees' "Stepping Stone"; the Ronnie Biggs "No One Is Innocent" fiasco; a dreadful version of "Pretty Vacant" from the misguided live 1996 reformation; and the afterthought inclusion of "EMI" only adds insult to injury. Yes, IJubilee/I does include CD-ROM versions of the "Anarchy", "God Save the Queen" and "Pretty Vacant" videos, and Sid's "My Way" is still quite amusing. But a first-time Pistols buyer needs nothing more than INever Mind The Bollocks/I. If they buy "Jubilee", they'll be left wondering why punk ever happened. I--Garry Mulholland/I
