5 out of 5 stars Great songs to sing along   August 1, 2002

A really good album and mix of music. You really need to listen to this album a few times to really enjoy it. Great CD for background music as well. Who have liked to have one song of the Nirvana unplugged album included on this CD too. Best perfomances to me are the first one (Eric Clapton), Bryan Adams, Annie Lennox and Live.

5 out of 5 stars MTV Unplugged at its very very best   August 18, 2002

People say that live songs are always better than album versions and this album really proves that. Great acts like Alanis Morrisette, Eric Clapton and Bryan Adams all feature in this outstanding album. A smooth CD to chill out to in the evenings or on a hot summers afternoon. The very best performances come from Seal with Kiss From A Rose, which sounds incredible and is so moving. Secoindly theres Noel Gallagher singing Don't Look Back in Anger, Liam sings this on Whats the Story but Noel has the better voice and this track really shows it off. Buy this album now and chill.

One of those Desert Island Discs choices, no bad tracks from first to last, although some are outstanding...pLive, Seal Mr Adams have it all sewn up!pIf there's one mellow albumn you buy, it's this one, to while away an evening drive, relax to a summer BBQ or doze off to sleep, it doesn't matterp11/10

5 out of 5 stars OOH! What a treat!!!   June 15, 2002

What a fabulous compilation! I must say it's nice to bring a new CD out with older songs. But, I have to put a dampener on it a little, where was Eric Clapton's 'Leila', The Corrs REM cover 'Everybody Hurts' and one the most well written songs of all time: The Eagles' 'Hotel California' which is SO great acoustic??!!! That's the only downer though. Well done MTV.

4 out of 5 stars Great Compilation   June 13, 2002

I already had the Clapton - Tears in Heaven track before I bought the album, and the strength of that track convinced me to buy the rest of the album. It combines the best of all the MTV unplugged tracks, its just a pity it isn't a 2 CD Compilation, as there are loads and loads more that would have been worthy of being on this CD. It has a great range of music on it from the blues sty lings of Lenny Kravitz, to the classic tracks such as Mrs Robinson by Paul Simon and it also has the new acoustic sounds of Noel Gallagher and Alanis Morissette. I also loved the rendition of Linger by the Cranberries that is on the CD.pIts also good value, as it packs 18 tracks into the CD and is very easy to listen to, no matter what mood you are in! All in all this is a must for every acoustic fan, and has some great classics on there to listen to.
