Amazon.co.uk Review
The second album from Atomic Kitten is a mixed bag of good and bad. The good thing about IFeels So Good/I is a varied selection of well crafted songs from a respected group of writers whose credits include hits for Kylie and All Saints to name but two. The downside is their obvious shift to middle-of-the-road, adult-orientated "soft-pop" inspired by the reaction to their uber-ballad "Whole Again". p Having made it to number one, their cover of "The Tide Is High" (a song made famous by Blondie) can't be argued with. But compared to the original it remains decidedly flat, lacking the punch that made the earlier version a timeless classic. The album's high point is most definitely the title track, written for the Kittens by none other than Kylie Minogue; it is typical pop-diva material with a disco class and fat rhythm section that will undoubtedly make it a camp anthem for the latter half of 2002. If you had to predict a Radio Two hit it could well be the mid-tempo, faux-80s ballad "Love Doesn't Have To Hurt". With its soft and cuddly acoustic guitar and so-happy-to-be-in-love type of chorus it could well be a strong contender for post-Christmas number one. To summarise the album, none of it's bad, but not much is great either#133;just somewhere in the middle. --IDavid Trueman/I

5 out of 5 stars A purr-fect pop album!   September 5, 2002

A lot has changed since Atomic Kitten released their debut album 'Right Now' two years ago, but thankfully the quality of the music has just got better! 'Feels So Good' is the first album with new member Jenny Frost, and she has certainly made her mark, writing two tracks - the Kylie-esque 'So Hot' and 80's jaunt 'Baby Don't You Hurt Me'. The Kylie comparisions don't stop there, as the album title track is written by none other than the Pop Princess herself! If that's not enough, the Bangles, who originally performed the Kittens' massive #1 hit 'Eternal Flame', have written sultry ballad 'Love Doesn't Have To Hurt' for this album! Liz and Tash have also penned songs for this album, which proves that the Kittens have matured not only in their image and sound, but also in their creativity. Both smash hit singles are here - the gloriously uplifting 'It's OK!' and the #1 'The Tide Is High (Get The Feeling)', a reworking of the Blondie classic. Forthcoming single 'Walking On The Water' is reminiscent of the Kittens' worldwide #1 'Whole Again', while disco stormer 'Love Won't Wait' brings back memories of Kitten classics 'Right Now' and 'I Want Your Love'. No Kitten album would be complete without the trademark Kitten ballad - and 'Feels So Good' has it's fair share! 'The Last Goodbye' and 'No One Loves You (Like I Love You)' tug at the heart-strings with their powerful vocals and touching lyrics. Overall, this album is a strong progression from 'Right Now', but still contains all the elements that make for a purr-fect pop album! A must-have!

This album is deffinatly as good as RIGHT NOW and some songs are even better! It has many styles, ranging from pure pop (Softer the touch, Love Wont Wait), classic Kitten tunes (Walking on Water, It's OK) and lovely ballads (No one loves you, Moment you Leave Me).p1. It's OK - 8/10 - thier first single from the album.br2. Love Won't Wait - 8/10 - an upbeat dance floor song.br3. The Tide Is High (Get The Feeling) - 9/10 - their second cover song and next single - it's fantastic!br4. Feels So Good - 7/10 - pure pop.br5. Walking On Water - 10/10 - one of my fave, classic Kitten style, a lovely 'Tide is High'-like song.br6. The Moment You Leave Me - 7/10 - pretty new song with good lyrics.br7. The Last Goodbye - 9/10 - a slightly more upbeat song.br8. Love Doesn't Have To Hurt - 7/10 - another beautiful ballad.br9. Softer The Touch - 10/10 - a great dancefloor number! My favourite!br10. The Way That You Are - 8/10 - similar to Walking on Water, a br11. Baby Don't Hurt Me - 7/10 a foot-tapping, upbeat song.br12. So Hot - 9/10 - a brilliant, mature, fast track.br13. Maybe I'm Right - 6/10 - probably my least favourite song, but they manage to pull it off quite easily.br14. No One Loves You (Like I Love You) - 8/10 - this is a bit like The World Is Not Enough (James Bond tune!). It has an excellent beginning but the chorus is somewhat ordinary.

Feels so good is the second album from Atomic Kitten and it has really great music on it. brMy Review for the several songs:p1.It's Ok - The first single from the album a really cool summer track to make a good mood and to have fun 10/10p2.Love won't wait - One of the faster songs on the album; it has a cool chorus and nice verses ... It has surprising Guitarriffs u usually wouldn't expect. Nice Tune 9/10p3.The Tide Is High - The 3rd #1 for the Kittens - and it served it. The are really great singing on it. It's a Blondie Cover and Atomic Kitten did great on it. 10/10p4.Feels so good - written by one and only kylie and it could really be a Minogue-song ;it's so cool and Get's u one the dancefloor for sure (I hope it will be the 4th single from the album) 10/10p5.Walking on the Water- The (in my opinion) best song on the album and it shud be the xmas single from the kittens 10/10 p6.The Moment you leave me - a nice midtempo tune a little sad text but a cool melody and it's really catccchy in the chorus 9/10p7.The last Goodbye- Similar to Whole again bit sooo nice and sooo romantic 10/10p8.Love doesn't have to hurt - A cool little slower song but it could have been better 8/10p9.Softer the Touch - At the start similar to SCJuniors One Step Closer. It's a cool uptempo dance number; really nice 9/10p10.The way that you are - Again a slower song written by Tash - she did nice job on the lyrics. Good album stuff 8/10p11.Baby don't you hurt me : cowritten by Jenny; very 70/80er stylish maybe one of the weaker songs on the album 8/10p12.So Hot - also co-written by Jenny ; cud have been on a Sclub-album;beside the former written by Jenny a weaker song on the album 8/10 p13.Maybe I'm right - cowritten bye Liz; more a slower song nice to chill out 8/10p14.No one loves you (Like ... )- a great song coming towards the end of the album a really nice ballad ) 9/10p15. 5 out of 5 stars A Modern Classic   November 20, 2002

Anyone who has seen Atomic Kitten sing live with a live band will know that the feisty felines are a force to be reckoned with. The girls got their first taste of fame when nearly all hope had been abandoned, and now, once again, Atomic Kitten are taking on the pop world, this time armed with Feels So Good, the powerful follow-up to the girls' first album, Right Now. After a shaky start - loss of a key member, Kerry, and the decision by their record company to drop them for the label - the future looked unsure for Atomic Kitten. They did, however, convince Innocent Records to release one more song under a micro-budget, and that song was the now infamous Whole Again.pWith a pop group catapulted to fame by a single song, it's often easy to dismiss them as one-hit-wonders. That's why Feels So Good comes as so much of a welcome surprise. Packed with pure pop genius, this could well be the one essential pop album of the decade. From the gentle and sultry 'The Last Goodbye' to the pounding dance anthem of the title track, this album will keep you gripped from the beginning to the end.pNow that the UK pop scene is spewing out a new girl/boy band seemingly every minute, it has become a difficult market to compete in. Difficult, that is, unless you're Atomic Kitten. Without a single bad track on the album, Atomic Kitten are still single-handedly proving that UK pop music is far from dead. For the Kittens, the future looks brighter and brighter each day...
