Great album, not one bad track. Its surprising the lack of respect The Crue get these days, especially after making this album. Highlights include Dr Feelgood, She Goes Down, Same ol Situation and Time For Change.A must have for 80s rock fans.

This record just changed my life... the singles were just hitting one after the other and it never stopped!. `Same ol' situation' is one if the best party songs in the world! This album has something for everyone, unbelievable ballads: the underrated 'Time for Change`, amazing rock songs: `Kickstart my heart', probably one of those songs you shouldn't turn any louder when driving in a highway (for you own good)... it just tears your head apart! This what this guys do best. br / br /Long live the Crue! br /

5 out of 5 stars The Motley Magnum Opus   September 11, 2007

It is easy in these post grunge days to dismiss the juggernaut that was Glam Metal as nothing more than a monotonous commercial slurry, produced in massed numbers and ultimatley eclipsed by the dreadnought that was Nirvana. Opinions are fickle things, true, but facts are granite strong. In plain facts this is the pinacle of Motley Crues heroin induced, prostitute nourished hedonistic glory. What Appetite for Destruction is to Guns and Roses so Dr. Feelgood is to Motley Crue. Almost every other track is a bombastic rock anthem filled with screeching solos, thunderous drum beats and Glam vocals. br /Do not buy this album if you are the typical stoic minded fool. Do buy this album if you like to look on the brighter side of life and appreciate music for the fact the message it gave out could in no way help the world but rather simply encourage more of us to have a good time, all the time. A superb album.

4 out of 5 stars Kick-ass album   November 25, 2003

This was a great come-back album for the Crue. After the whole overdose problem with Nikki (I missed out on their Girls, girls, girls tour because the band had to cancel the European dates because of that) this was an amazing collection of songs and they sounded heavier than ever before. The remaster version doesn't add much except a few extra tracks. The demos don't differ much from the final album versions so the real "extra" here is the unreleased track which is OK but no more. But I would have bought this album again just because it's such a strong album.

Dr Feelgood is an excellent rock album. Wheras Girls,Girls,Girls was an average, if not frankly poor album, hooking up with Bob Rock was one of the best things that the band ever did. The sound of the album is classic rock that stands the test of time and is excellent to play in your car with the top rolled down. It has to be my all time favourite album and unfortunately I doubt if it will be surpassed. It wasn't really a suprise to find that i loved this album because all of the tracks that Bob Rock produces with the likes of The Cult,Bonjovi etc all make my top ten list of best ever songs.Definately an album to buy and cherish. Now all i want is a pole to dance around to whilst shimmying to Kickstart my Heart(having the motley boys as my audience is optional but would be interesting).
