| Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.co.uk Review Black Eyed Peas have at times been accused of sounding too Tribe for their own good, but this time out Will.i.am and crew have consciously expanded their horizons. Problem is, perhaps they've tried too hard. As the title suggests, IElephunk/I borrows from every single element of funk known to man and (with the exception of the one straight-out rock roll track, "Anxiety") tries to cram them all into a semi-hip-hop format. While such willingness to experiment is admirable, in this case the attempt comes off as slightly desperate and too diffuse. IElephunk/I settles itself into a groove when BEP's newest member Fergie's lush girlie vocals are allowed to dominate, as they do on the discofied "The Boogie That Be." Utter brilliance February 29, 2004 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
Some people tend to down play this album but its amazing. It has well thought out vocals and beats on all of the songs, A few of my most favourite and most played songs include Latin Girlds, sexy and Whats Goin down. This album bites you and doesn't let to, A must be for all those who enjoyed Shut up and where is the love, If you hav'nt yet purchased this fantastic upbeat you really are missing out

When I bought this album I wasn't entirely sure what to expect. The tunes I had heard "Where is the love" and "shut up" had been great but i wondered whether these where the better tracks they released. I was so wrong! Each track is fantastic and I can listen to it over and over without getting bored. In fact going to put it in my car now to listen to as I drive around!

This is without a doubt the best release from the hip hop funk genre this year.pWith its amazing instrument selection, big beats and as the for the lyrics they really mean something they are compelling, meaningful, absoloute genius.pForget the neptunes and NERD this is the album you want it is great they are great and they can only get greater.
Loved It February 6, 2004 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Admittedly I only bought the album for Shut Up, have never listened to BEP before, but love that song. I actually thoroughly enjoyed the album, thought the lyrics are hysterical if you listen to them !!
Fantastic! December 3, 2003 7 out of 10 found this review helpful
I can't remember the last time I bought a group/artist specific album where the majority of tracks are good.pThis is the best album I've heard for years, worth every penny.
