Finally, at long last, an anthology of Joe Cocker's best that has "meat" and a lot less "sugar" on it. JC at his best, surely the way he'd want to be pictured/listened to, not the recent "greatest hits" collections. This is the one you can really count on. Go and get it... NOW! You won't be disappointed.

I am not and never was a big Cocker follower but you can#x27;t deny that the guy knows how to sing a good song well. This is an enjoyable album full of variety. As a bonus, if you#x27;re an old fogey like me, you#x27;ll also recognise some of the memorable Cocker numbers from the 70s. This is a good value CD if you#x27;re looking for mature music.

Sometimes your earlier memory is better than the fact October 1, 2009 Mr. G. Bridgeman-clarke (Rayleigh UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
First Joe Cocker, in my view has the greatest voice ever. He delivers a song with passion. But I regret this CD collection does not deliver up hos vocals as well as other CDs. Shame as there are a few classics on here but the collection just doesn't work. maybe it because I like his voice live and this collection just can't deliver that. Even the live track sounds flat. Avoid this collection and get a live recording instead.
