Amazon.co.uk Review
Kelis's debut album was a phenomenal success, but the muted interest in the follow-up has been followed by low expectations for her third album, ITasty/I. "Caught Out There", from IKaleidoscope/I, had her storming the airwaves with a chant of "I hate you so much right now!" and she returns with "Milkshake", a schoolyard taunt for grown-up girls. The minimalist Neptunes production was an obvious first single but the CD hardly stops there. From collaborations with Andre 3000 ("Millionaire", a showcase for the OutKast frontman's falsetto) and Nas (the randy "In Public") and a rap-rock exercise ("Keep It Down") to irresistible updates of early 1980s RB ("Protect My Heart", "Glow"), the disc offers plenty in the way of potential follow-ups. While less playful than some of her past work, ITasty/I brings a raised eyebrow and good humour to the 21st century sex-u-up template. I--Rickey Wright/I

5 out of 5 stars Very Tasty Indeed!!   May 26, 2004

I was unsure about the album before buying it, the music usually isn't my cup of tea but after hearing the fantastic 'Milkshake' and catchy 'Trick Me' I thought it was worth a go. I was pleasently surprised, the funky beats and catchy tunes continue throughout the album. Not only do you have the genius of Kelis but the collaborations with Andrea 3000 and Nas are equally enjoyable. The album was more mainstream than I expected and one that will be in my CD player for a while yet!

One of the best albums I have ever possessed, extremely delighted with this album. With the exception of two dud songs (Rolling Through The Hood and Stick Up ), every other song is amazing. brINTRO: Fun, playful, Kelis has a cool dirty laugh! 10/10brTRICK ME: Next single. Excellent song, great sample (?), nearly as catchy as Milkshake- that's saying a lot as Milkshake is the catchiest song in a long time!10/10brMILKSHAKE: What can I say? This song rocks!10/10brKEEP IT DOWN: Another possible single choice. Loved it the first time I heard it 10/10brIN PUBLIC: Excellent beat and lyrics 10/10brFLASHBACK: Hmm...ok not the best 6/10brPROTECT MY HEART: Catchy but not a fave 6/10brMILLIONAIRE: Just WOW! Amazing song, please be a single 10/10brGLOW: love this, don't think it's flat at all it's just perfect 10/10brSUGAR HONEY ICED TEA: Not amazing but still very very good 7/10brATTENTION: Excellent 9/10brROLLING THROUGH THE HOOD: A bit crap 4/10brSTICK UP: Ok 6/10brMARATHON: Brilliant Bond-esque 10/10p... The good tracks are extremely brilliant and more than make up for anything slightly average. You could listen to this whole album through and love it all! Great job Kelis!

I bought this album on the basis of liking the two songs most recently released - and I'm very impressed. There's a real diversity of styles within the album, and all songs could be released as singles in their own right. I thoroughly recommend it to anyone who likes a good tune and lyrics they can sing to.

Tasty is the third album released by kelis, but still has funky beats and a refreshing sound. Guest appearences by Andre3000 and Nas are just a few of the successful artists on this album. I could barely take the cd out of my car, cool rnb and catchy tunes throught the album.brStrongly reccomend this to any rnb fan

A friend of mine asked me to describe this album to them and this is what i came up withp'Sassy, moody, sophisticated, funky, fresh, trendy, different, warm and edgy with a DAMN sexy undertone.'pand he agreed with me completely. Ive always loved kelis. her style, presence and not being afraid to being different drew me to her from the begining. Her first two albums were brilliant but they both took a while to grow on me and ill be honest with you this one took sometime to, but not as long as the other two. this album is SO fresh, her trademark neptunes colabo's are still there but working with other people has really made her shine. This women is amazing and this album proves it completely. so if you're into rock, jazz, r'n'b, pop, funk, alternative, dance, whatever your music taste trust me this album wont fail to impress. Taste it you may like it!!!!
