Alexisonfire i can honestly tell you from the first song i listened to .44 caliber love letter i knew i was in love, Alexisonfire combine The riff's that only a mother could love with the drumming to back it up, finally they crush in melodic vocals with amazingly powerful hardcore screams, after airplay on both Muchmusic - ( channel that i do not recieve over in the uk) and kitchener waterloo's Space in your face show the signs are looking good for this band, i had previously ordered this cd from their original label distort and every track is a masterpiece of hardwork and amazing energy, and due to the bonus track that will be on this new release entitled get fighted i was pressured to buy it again, this time from the equal vision label-(armor for sleep, coca, This Day Forward, give up the ghost) In all honesty this band and particuarly this cd has brought me through the good and the bad and i can tell you it is more than worth the money, but i advise checking out the free mp3's and hope you are all as impressed as i was thanks for reading this review and i hope it is some help in persuading you to buy this amazing cd

On hearing 44.Caliber Love Letter and Polaroids of Polar Bears, I felt that this band had something original to offer, and the album doesn't disappoint. It's reminiscent of Planes Mistaken For Stars, and Appleseed Cast, with slightly more hardcore vocals. The mellow parts are a joy to listen to and are in perfect contrast with the vocal parts. In this genre, screamed vocals can often get a bit tiring, but not in AIOF, and because of this I believe that they will appeal to a wider audience. Another great Equal Vision release, and I highly recommend it.
