This is one album that every rock fan and bass-guitarist should own. This album really shows The Ox at the height of his creative powers. The album has more of a Who (Are You era) sound (featuring synthesizers and sweet distorted guitars) than his previous solo work and as a result has a more accomplished feel to it. All of the songs work very well, featuring great playing by his buddies, Joe Walsh and Joe Vitale. Vocal wise John has never sounded more confident and together with Billy Nichols on backing vocals, make this album much, much more than a solo effort.brThe stand out song for me on this album has to be Dancing Master. This features one of my favourite basslines of all time, almost rivaling John's playing on Quadrophenia.pThis is a great reminder of what a great musician John was. It's such a shame he was taken from us at such a young age.brLong Live Rock...
