Amazon.co.uk Review With iA Girl Like Me/i, the Barbadian teen-queen Rihanna is looking to transfer all claims of royalty to the summertime pop charts. If anybody's going to rule them, she pretty much proclaims by way of "SOS," a song no less irresistible, intoxicating, and all-out cool than 2005's "Pon de Replay," off her debut, she's it. That's not to say this new disc is anything like its predecessor overall. Where iMusic of the Sun/i was mostly what its title suggests--a romp through an anglo-friendly island with no sunscreen required--iA Girl Like Me/i is more reflective and a little rueful; you get the sense it was crafted in part to show her range, with executive producer Jay-Z guiding her through it gracefully. "Unfaithful" is a noir-ish testing of the RB waters, and it goes so well that Rihanna wastes no time skinny-dipping her way into the deep end--"Final Goodbye," "P.S. (I'm Still Not Over You)," and "A Million Miles Away" all betray juicy bits of Beyonce. Back in barefoot bikini-girl land, though--a territory that covers roughly half this disc--the party's still going strong. Rihanna gives dancehall legend Sean Paul a run for his money with the bouncing "Break It Off," and "We Ride" makes you want to roll down the windows and stick your head out the passenger side. Crank it up and keep the sunglasses handy. --iTammy La Gorce/i

Brilliant CD - one of my favs at da mo. Always quite liked Rihanna's songs but "Unfaithful" prompted me to finally buy it. Compared to the other songs she's released off the album, the album itself is way better! Great range of styles and tempos. All round great performance with excellent vocals. Only song i don't like is SOS so if u thought that was good, you'll love the album coz its 10 time better!
Best follow up album and summer album of 2006 April 3, 2007 L. Hutley (kent, uk) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
This album's a masterpiece! here's my review of all the songs;
br /
br /01. SOS - This is the first single and went to #2 in the UK charts and is at #8 in the overall chart of 2006. This is a classic and a sample of tainted love. What a dance track. 9/10
br /
br /02. Kisses Don't Lie - A fantastic carribean song. 9/10
br /
br /03. Unfaithful - An emotive ballad and my personal favourite on the album and is my favourite song ever. Simply the best track of 2006. Second single which peaked at #2 aswell (shoulda been number 1) and is at #24 in the overall chart of 2006. 100/10
br /
br /04. We Ride - Third single which was a bit underrated hitting a poor #15. But is a great song on this album. And another carribean track. 9/10
br /
br /05. Dem Haters - Another carribean track and is great but repetitive. 8/10
br /
br /06. Final Goodbye - An effortless ballad which is lovely and is not exaggerated. 9/10
br /
br /07. Break It Off - I love this song and shoulda been released. 9/10
br /
br /08. Crazy Little Thing Called Love - Ok but nothing new. 7/10
br /
br /09. Selfish Girl -Refreshing but the background music is so repetitive. 8/10
br /
br /10. P.S. (I'm Still Not Over You) - One of my fav's, a lovely ballad. 9/10
br /
br /11. A Girl Like Me - New background music finally, this is great. 8/10
br /
br /12. Million Miles Away - A so beautiful and emotional ballad. 9/10
br /
br /13. If It's Lovin' That You Want - Second single from her 2005 debut album 'Music Of The Sun'. Reached #11. A carribean track. 8/10
br /
br /14. Pon De Replay - Her debut from August 2005. Reached #2. Not so 'carribeany' it's more clubby and a song you'll allways hear in a nightclub. 9/10.

br /I hope this review helped you. This is a great album and you should buy it, even if it's just for Unfaithful, SOS and all her other hits. Also look out for her new and third album which should be released in June 2007 on the 4th. The lead single is 'Umbrella' ft. Jay-Z. BUY IT!!!

Rihanna is the hottest sex siren ever! August 30, 2006 nigerian bombshell (lagos, nigeria.) 4 out of 7 found this review helpful
before y'all start yawning, i wanna say that Rihanna is hot with a lotta creativity, laden with sex appeal, topped with charisma and finished up with the sexiest singing voice ever!
br / the first time i saw the pon De Replay vid,i thot to myself "now who is this again?'.before i knew it,i was caught on the vibe.I swear it,anytime i walk into any club here in Nigeria, the Dj sights me,plays that song and i go gaga on the dancefloor! But wat bout now? 'A girl like me" is her best effort to date!!!!!!!!That album is so ill! I just love the song "SOS"......whic has got an infectious beat slinking over a heavy drumline and catchy lyrics. But my fav on the album after "Unfaithful' that is, is the slow ballad titled "Final Goodbye'.That song is so hauntingly beautiful; and really deep.
br / 5 stars to rihanna! She mos def Rocks!
