| Customer Reviews: I love it! May 4, 2008 Becca B (UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Like many others, especially in the UK, the only Joan Jett song I knew until last year was 'I Love Rock n Roll'. Then I saw her opening for Alice Cooper and was blown away by her music, her attitude, her on-stage persona...I always thought rock music had enough heroes and needed a heroine - and now I realise there is one, I just hadn't heard enough of her music before!
br /So I've been buying Joan's albums and whilst this new one perhaps doesn'r have the classic tracks like 'I Love Rock n Roll', 'Bad Reputation' and 'Crimson and Clover', it is still fantastic. If you like rock, you should like this. Tracks that stood out for me include 'Five', 'Fetish', 'Change the World' and 'ACDC'. The lyrics range between thought provoking ('Riddles' especially) a certain degree of self-examination (but not in an irritating way) and in ya face rock rebellion. And it was interesting to hear an updated version of 'A Hundred Feet Away' to compare her sound now with what it was in the early eighties.
br /I love this album. Joan Jett live is a phenomenon, but the album is nearly as good. If you love rock and you're looking for something just a little bit different, I highly recommend it.
A real rocker January 12, 2008 maz (Kent , England) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Like many people the only Joan Jett songs I'd heard were I Love Rock And Roll and I Hate Myself For Loving You.

br /I then saw Joan Jett supporting Alice Cooper in London last November. She really rocked and what I heard of her new album encouraged me to go and buy it. I wasn't disappointed. Riddles, Fetish, Androgynous and best of all the sapphic tongue in cheek A.C.D.C.

br /Well worth a listen
At least they didn't change it to get us to buy again November 21, 2007 J. Evans (ohio) 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
Already released in the USA in 2006 (some songs were previously released in 2004 on the Japanese NAKED and a few others released on 1999's FETISH cd) finally finds a release in the UK to cash in on her opening slot on the Alice Cooper/Motorhead tour. A few good songs: A.C.D. C., Androgynous, Everyone Knows, Change the World...and some not so good ones: Riddles, Turn it Around, and a cover of her own 1983 song A Hundred Feet Away which is not bad, BUT, why re-record this? It wasn't changed at all. Probably will be another 10 years til her next cd, hope by then she has some more good songs.
A real let-down !!! December 24, 2007 HemiSnake (Surrey, England) 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
Joan supported Alice Cooper Motorhead recently at Wembley in London.
br /She the Blackhearts were superb live. For me they blew the others off stage.
br /I bought this album on the strength of that performance.
br /But.....It's quite weakly produced with very little dynamics.
br /Other than 'Five', 'Fetish' 'Naked', the album is very poor. No good strong rocking songs with great riffs hooks that have come to be Joans' trademark.
