No sign of stopping... July 6, 2006 Ash Cook (New Zealand) 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
Rimes' latest release is exactly what a fan could expect it to be - I agree with the other review here saying its a lot more like Twisted Angel than This Woman. It has a mix of upbeat tracks and the traditional ballads one would expect from LeAnn.
br /
br /My favourites include Headphones - an addictive dance track, Long Night - a beautiful song which still delivers awesome lyrics without becomming sappy or too heartbreaking, Destructive - a powerful and angry song which I LOVE, and Save Myself - another one of those trademark LeAnn ballads.
br /
br /I love most of the album, with the few exceptions being This Life (which seems a little slow) and the title track Whatever We Wanna (which for some reason reminds me of a Shania Twain track) - but these are of course just my opinions :)
Continued Greatness June 25, 2006 Ms. M. P. Ralston 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
This is a brilliant album from a hugely talented artist,
br /it has a great mix of different types of music, from the rock/pop sound of "Satisfied", the dance beat of "headphones" to the softer ballad of "Strong" and the rockier sound of "destructive".
br /Just great, especially considering her writing took form so much on this album.
br /Her last country album was brilliant and so is this, her voice is still one of, if not, the most beautifull instrument i've heard in mainstream music.

GREAT Pop/Rock Album! June 12, 2006 Joe MusicMan (USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
LeAnn's album "Whatever We Wanna" is perhaps her best album ever. LeAnn's superior vocals sound amazing no matter what she sings, but the songs on this album are nearly as good as her voice. "And it Feels Like" is one of LeAnn's best songs of her career. I would write out an individual review of each track, but this album has 15 tracks. Each track is good, with most of them being great. Some artists will give you 12 or 13 tracks on an album, with some of the tracks being intros, remixes, or cover songs. LeAnn has 15 original songs on this album with the exception of "Some People." That song was featured on LeAnn's American Country/Pop Album "This Woman." The version has been re-recorded expecially for this album. This version is superior to the American version.
br /
br /The songs on this album have some really great lyrics. LeAnn has had some extremely "safe" or artistically bland songs on her other albums, but LeAnn reveals her soul on this album. She takes some chances by revealing some of her soul, but the result is a truly great work of art.

br /Get this album, and really listen to it. You'll enjoy it if you love pop/rock music!

You'd certainly 'wanna' this album April 29, 2007 Andrey Kirillov (Samara, Russia) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Here comes a new album from LeAnn Rimes. Surprisingly, it is an import from Europe, not released in the USA. Still, listeners and fans on both sides of the Atlantic would certainly 'wanna' this CD as it would give plenty of joy and positive thrills. We know LeAnn Rimes to be a country star, who sometimes goes crossover, like on her "Twisted Angel" album (strangely shunned by critics), which was in the vast majority a pop thing. Then she returned to country with her previous "This Woman", which was to the vast majority a country thing. We know LeAnn Rimes to successfully go between the two styles, playing on both fields.
br /
br /"Whatever We Wanna" is certainly on the pop field, with practically no country, although some tag it in this category. It again showcases LeAnn Rimes' strong vocal mastery and her songwriters' strong grip at what should be good music. The voice is always strong and good, and we all know that it handles both pop and country with equal power, vibrations and exquisite style. Personally I would single out "Headphones" and "Break Me Down", but all the others are equally great. The last track "Some People" is also on her other album ("This Woman"). You will hear the voice telling stories from a powerful woman in "Strong", who leaves us "Satisfied" not "For the First Time", "And It Feels Like" you get "A Little More Time" through your "Headphones" or stereo of "Whatever We Wanna".
br /
br /Some of you may say that some of this material sounds like much of what is now playing on contemporary country charts. Some may note that this is quite a fresh look on the pop music as known in Europe. Some may even be wondering if this music can be classed at all. Some of you may find little notes connecting songs from this album to other albums of either LeAnn herself or other artists. Well, music is a big melting pot of today, and LeAnn Rimes surely knows her way of cooking some good sort of cake according to her own recipe.
br /
br /This import is double the price I am regularly prepared to pay for a CD on Amazon, but it is worth every penny or cent, as you would return to it again and again. LeAnn Rimes did her best here to ensure that there are no doubts or frustration with even a single track. What you get is what you'd 'wanna' listen to today because it is amazing music from an amazing artist.
Great album June 5, 2006 Mary Nisbet (Scotland) 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
Another good one from LeAnn. Only bad points I can think of are:
br /1) Letting the Westlife guy on the cd, he nearly ruins the whole album
br /2) The fact this is a Europe-only release, and her Country album restricted to the USA. She has a massive fanbase worldwide not just because of her ONE pop album, but largely because of her Country work like her debut and her more recent This Woman album.
br /
br /I look forward to her next Country album.
