AMAZING ALBUM! July 12, 2006 Music Mad 14 out of 14 found this review helpful
This is a superb album from start to finish. I have seen The Webb Sisters live and can testify that these are two very talented musicians and it was with much excitement that I purchased thier debut offering. I've read a few reviews which liken them to Fleetwood Mac and that's not far off at all- Daylight Crossing is indeed like a modern day 'Rumours', slightly more edgy in parts and more lush in others. Don't be fooled though - this isnt your average 'Middle of the Road' album. Although it IS mainstream on the whole, there is enough edge and cool to satisfy all tastes. If you love great songs, lush harmonies and catchy melodies then this is for you. It's a no brainer really! An album for the collection of any real music fan.
Lovely stuff! July 12, 2006 Rob (London) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I saw the video for I Still Hear It on TV, and thought it sounded like a great chilled summer song, so i bought the album. I'm really glad i did, as there are some fantastic songs on here, my favorite being Still The Only One. I hope this is their next single, as it could be a huge hit. This album is highly recommended summer listenning!
Fantastic July 9, 2006 Richard Carl Holmes (Barrow, England) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I'd never heard of these until a live performance they did at asda house (head office in Leeds) and i thought they were brilliant. Dead relaxing music, extremely tallented, and probably going to go far! After a stressful day at work, get a brew, kick back and chill with this un.
Most talented new act of the 2000s August 1, 2006 S. Pryor (London) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I saw the Webb Sisters live last night, and have to say that the level of talent, originality and complexity of their music was inspiring and refreshing. It is not often that you hear a harp being played in a contemporary band setting, and the effect was pure magic. I was also really happily surprised to see an ocarina being played - bring back the ocarina!!! The girls have a soulful, folky rock sound, rich with emotion and serious musical talent. If you want to be first in there on the next big thing, the Webb Sisters are where its at.
caught up in the WEBB!!!! October 26, 2006 reggie (uk) 1 out of 14 found this review helpful
These little hunnie pots blew old reggie away!! Reminded me of terence trent darby (the early stuff) and danni minogue's basement recordings. When big ol reggie got this litlle disc he ran a hot bath and soaped up his loins!!!! These chicks rock IT BIG STYLE!!!
