Amazon.co.uk Review If anything, Robert Plant`s career as a solo artist appears to be improving with age. With IMighty Rearranger/I, he builds on the success of his previous album, 2002's IDreamland/I, blending electronic experimentation with world music eclecticism. On tracks like "Shine It All Around", "All the King's Horses", "Tin Pan Alley" and "Freedom Fries" recall his past life as frontman for rock icons Led Zeppelin, taking cues from blues, rock and Eastern music. Of course, he's continuing to mellow in his later years, and his voice can't hit the heady heights it once did, but it's still impressive and distinctive. And his band the Strange Sensation--in particular, bassist Billy Fuller and drummer Clive Deamer--continue to shine, even ! though they've been given the unenviable task of trying to fill the shoes once worn by Page, Bonham and Jones. Bits of the album may get a little repetitive towards the end, but IMighty Rearranger/I is still a fine showing by a living rock legend. I--Ted Kord/I

Robert Plant The Strange Sensation - MIGHTY REARRANGER May 15, 2005 15 out of 16 found this review helpful
This CD is full of superb original tracks. The "new" band Plant seem to meld perfectly. The production mixing give this album a fresh interesting sound. The unmistakeable Plant voice is really excellent. This guys voice gets better better the older he gets!!!brEach musician is clearly highly accomplished polished, there are so many unusual percusion arrangements, and you find that after several listenings up pops another hidden gem of drumming delights.brGuitars Keyboards are brilliant the new Bass man is very very cool. Sometimes you think that a particular member of a band stands out from the crowd, in this case EVERY band member fits in works together to make this a "Strange Sensation" experience. brThere is not a bad track on this CD I guess that a lot of people will draw comparisons with the Led Zeppelin days, well this is to be expected, because lets face it, how many musicians out there today can honestly say that they havent been influenced by Led Zeppelin. Robert Plant, after all was a very, very big influence on Led Zeppelin!brGO OUT AND BUY THIS CD. IT IS, HONESTLY, A QUALITY PRODUCT IN EVERY WAY.

I#x27;ve seen Robert Plant with /without Led Zeppelin several times and I have to recommend this album highly. I have been listening to it for at least 6 months and its the last thing I hear at night when I#x27;m listening to music. Its absolutely powerful !! It has the nuances and rhythms and subtlety ( yes not many people believe that, God love them !!) of any Zeppelin album. Wonderful power driven songs and brilliant lyrics , particularly on Tin Pan Valley ( vs. his peers) and Takamba ( vs. the US Occupation of Iraq).pThis is Plant at his very best...and I mean that... at least as good as *anything* done pre or post Zeppelin.brIf Zeppelin hit a seam in your soul, this will also.pThanks Robert.pKeepin#x27; us alive, Tadhg.

.......then this is it! This is my 33rd year of buying music and its a nice feeling to be looking forward to an artist's release like the old days of running to the record shop and coming home clutching 12" of black vinyl (and maybe a record too). I was looking forward to this tremendously and it doesn't disappoint.brPlanty is still a forward looking artist after all these years despite the fact he could rest on his laurels and no-one would complain - he's done a few good things in the past!brLike Dreamland, MR has a mix of styles which Robert and his band carry off in fine style - a melting pot of rock,world,trip-hop,rockabilly etc etc.brNo doubt some lazy journo somewhere will describe Robert as 'rock royalty' which I personally think is an insult implying that a musician's best years are now behind them and they can assume their place in the pantheon of the greats and trot out nothing but old hits and nostaligia (a subject tackled on the CD).2005 sees Robert still searching and still producing great music with a great band.brIf you're reading this - buy it;if you're Robert Plant and you're reading this - please play Glasgow and....great job mate!!!
Superb! June 28, 2005 11 out of 12 found this review helpful
Over the years I've dutifully purchased each of Plant's solo albums - a few excellent gems among them but as whole pieces found them lacking, the exception being Dreamland. However, I have been blown away by Might Rearranger - each listening brings something new and can guarantee I'll be totally addicted by the end of the week! It's not just Plant's still wonderful vocals - each musician has well and truly stamped their mark on this. There isn't a weak song on the album. I can't recommend it highly enough - buy it now and listen for yourself!
Album of the Year July 10, 2005 Nicko (Leeds, UK) 21 out of 24 found this review helpful
I have only recently got into Led Zeppelin in the last few years, due to the fact that I was born during the Punk era of the late 70s, and by the time I was old enough to listen to music Led Zep were a thing of the past. However, in the past few years I have become a great fan of theirs, so I was interested to see the release of this record, never having heard any of Robert Plant's previous solo work. brI was totally blown away by what I heard. This is a GREAT album, one which I will still be listening to many years from now.My favourite track has to be 'All the King's Horses', a beautiful accoustic ballad. However, there is a great mixture of styles on this record - blues, eastern influences, folk and plenty of nods towards Led Zep as Robert's voice hits the high notes.brListening to this record also makes it painfully apparent how pathetic the modern crop of singer songwriters are for the most part. Robbie Williams? What a joke.brThis is a rare gem - make the most of it. You owe it to yourself.
