This is a lot better than other reviews have made out, if your a true pac fan you'll be happy enough with this offering, indeed it's not his greatest work, neither is it his worst! Stand out tracks are pac's life and play ya cards right!

Well I don't think this album is bad at all. I have followed 2Pac since the early 90's I have seen his music change throughout this time. New producers were brought in during the mid 90's so to make 2Pac more commercial radio friendly (the best known example being Dr Dre in 1996). This album is no exception. It has a modern Rap, R'n B sound with mellow grooves and vocals on some of the tracks. This album follows in the footsteps of 'Loyal To The Game', so if you enjoyed that album you will enjoy this one. It isn't as heavy as we know Pac's past tracks albums to be but, I think in many ways it's a good thing.
br /Gone are the days when we will hear the old school sound of 2Pac because plain simple he isn't here to have the input he once had in his music so we now rely on the talents of new, young, fresh producers to add there touch to his vocals.
br /Music is always a learning curve. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It's down to you as the individual listener to decide if 'Pac's Life' works. For me it does.

Pac T.I.P November 27, 2006 big poppa (uk) 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
It's not easy to describe this album, all in all pacs life starts off well, with some strong and well produced tracks. Such as untouchable, dumpin, whats next, and soon as i get home. Unfortunately the album goes from one extreme to the other, some of the production on tracks such as international is atrocious, and completely ruins what should have been a great pac verse. some of the production sounds rushed, with very little effort made to fit the beat around pacs flow. Someone definately needs to inform LT hutton that when your doing a remix, you generally give the track a new beat and sound. something which seems to have bemused him when creating the pacs life remix. the beat is exactly the same as the pacs life single relaese, the only difference being that the chorus has been replaced by stephen hawekin on a syntheisier. it's puzzling as to why other producers such as dre or even kanye were'nt drafted in to make a true pac classic, especially if this is the last release. but i have my doubts. if you look at the pac legacy site there currently running a competion for the best art work for a future 2pac release, and any true fan who's even had a glimpse at pacs vast array of unreleased works, knows there's music left over. overall the albums worth a listen just to hear pacs voice one more time, it's just a shame with the exception of the outlaws and papoose that the album was plagued by some third rates guest artists and producers.
