5 out of 5 stars It's a modern theme for a modern Bond   November 21, 2006

This is one of those Bond theme's that has you saying "DOESN'T SOUND LIKE A BOND THEME" Then you see it on the big screen and change your mind completly after it blows you away! br / br /I love the film and now the song, they go well together.

5 out of 5 stars Best Bond Theme EVER   January 5, 2007

The first time I heard "You Know My Name" was on the radio. The guy that was on complained about it for 5 minutes after it had finished, saying that it was the worst Bond song ever - going on and on about how it was "un-Bond-like". At first, I was a little sceptical... I then saw the music video on Kerrang a few times after that and was gradually beginning to fall for it... br / br /When I went to the cinema to finally see the movie, I was completely BLOWN AWAY by the opening sequence. The colourful 'card/poker-references' actually made the sequence exciting! Thought most of the excitement was mostly thanks to the music. Along came Chris Cornell... This song just blows you away. After seeing the movie, I just had to buy the record. br / br /Since buying it about two weeks ago, I've practically had it on repeat non-stop. I seriously cannot get enough of this song. It puts such a vivid picture of the movie in your head... Completely brilliant. If you love Bond and/or Chris Cornell, you will have probably bought this already. If not, then buy it now! You won't regret it.

5 out of 5 stars Perfect Bond Theme   December 19, 2006

When I first heard this I was a little dissapointed that it wasn't as catchy as Cornell's Audioslave work (which I have to admit I'm a big fan of) but now that I've seen the movie in the cinema I realise how good it is and was impressed how well it fits in with the film when just the music is being used in scenes.

5 out of 5 stars Finally, a great Bond theme!   November 19, 2006

As much as I enjoyed the Brosnan Bond films, all four of them had just terrible, terrible title songs. So it's a delightful surprise that Casino Royale has an absolutely storming song by Chris Cornell. It's an up-tempo rock track that has familar elements of the Bond theme. One of the best Bond songs ever. Erases all memories of the hideous Madonna and Sheryl Crow songs.

5 out of 5 stars At last - a red-blooded title song for a Bond movie   November 21, 2006
C. O'Brien (Scotland, UK)

If you've been underwhelmed by the wonky meanderings of recent Bond themes, this one should really float your boat. A red-blooded rendition of a cleverly crafted rock-inflected song by singer Chris Cornell (of Audioslave and Soundgarden fame) and movie-score composer David Arnold, it's the movie's first resounding statement of musical themes which Arnold then takes and develops orchestrally throughout the movie, gradually combining them with the old familiar 007 theme as Bond-the-man moves closer to Bond-the-icon. Add a cracking lyric which reflects the persona of Daniel Craig's Bond, and you couldn't get a better title sequence for this brilliant thriller. The best since Tom Jones's song for "Thunderball". Oh, and it's not included on the soundtrack album - so buy this single.
