5 out of 5 stars Fantastic!!!!!!!!   October 11, 2007
Richard Morley (northampton, UK)
Jessica has returned with her greatest work yet, awesome mixes, of pop, dance, country, swing, techno, ballads, RB, and even Hip hop. br /A public affair: A funky fresh dance pop track with a catchy disco beat! br /You spin me round: A cover of the classic Dead or Alive hit, with an excellant re-write of the verses. br /B.O.Y.: A bit of a heavy pop rock song, but awesome and easy to dance to none-the-less. br /If you were mine: A great 80's influenced disco song. br /Walkin' 'round in circles: A slow pop song, not slow or moving enough to be a ballad but it's got a nice rhythm to it. br /The lover in me: A bit of a flashback to Jessica's contemporary days, not the best track but still good. br /Swing with me: The genre can be seen in the title, a mix of jazz and swing, if your not a fan of retro music, your tune will be changed after a listen of this. br /Push your tush: The first country track on the album, i'm not much of a country fan, but this 1 is different. A bit of a grower keep in mind. br /Back to you: Another slow track, which sadly doesn't complement Jessica's voice very well, it sounds like she's trying not to cry. br /Between you I: A minor mix of pop/RB and reggae, Jessica's voice has a more soothing quality here! Very nice song. br /I don't want to care: A nice slow song, which could wind you down after a hard day of work! br /Fired Up: Jessica's very first attempt at Hip hop or what some may look at it as heavy RB, Jessica shows off her sexy vocals in this awesome song, which will fire you up! br /Let him fly: One of the only proper ballad on the album, an acoustic ballad which you can easily relax to. br /I belong to me: A beautiful RB ballad, which will have you crying from first hearing. br /These boots are made for walking: Another re-written cover of Nancy Sinatra's legendary country hit! br / br /In all, this album is not a disappointment, in fact it could earn a place in the top 20 of the best 2007 albums, well done Jess.

br /jessica should define that it is what wants to make, she should not look for its musical direction these like a vane, the album is mediocre but I like, it is very cheerful, amusing letters to the positive one but it is not seriously for the type of voice of her if she wants to arrive to make of big ls it should mature musically

4 out of 5 stars Cus Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!!!   February 16, 2007

I love the way that Jessica Simpson turned her pain into an upbeat and positive thing!! br / br /This album is candy sweet pop in its purest and most carefree nature...Dont get me wrong, bittersweetly poingant lyrics and movement inducing guitar riffs are great and important, but why cant we all enjoy music thats fun and thats not bogged down with a superiority. br / br /Jessica Simpson, knows her audience and gives them empowering and uplifting FUN pop music that celebrates oneself and friends. There is an acknowledgement to her pain of course, but it is not dwelled upon. Instead her positive attitude turns her into a role model for young women who need light relief from their own heartache (and something 2 dance 2 with the girls whilst getting dressed up 4 an evening out!!) br / br /The best tracks for me are - A Public Affair, If You Were Mine, Walkin' Round In A Circle, Back To You, These Boots are Made For Walking...and the much needed PUSH YOUR TUSH...Guarrenteed 2 cheer u up and make u smile!! br / br /I have also read and heard that it is her best album to date (since i dont own any other albums of hers i cant compare them, but i am sure that if you liked her previous records then you would love this!) If you are sitting on the fence like me and enjoy her single but arent sure about the album...its a definate must have!! Have fun girlies!! (and guys should any actually read this!!) xxx
