There's no point in even doing a song-by-song review...i love every single song on this album, i listen to it all the time and it came out a few years ago now. If you still haven't bought this...then I strongly recommend you do so!!!

5 out of 5 stars AMAZING ALBUM!   August 22, 2007

br /Hot US RnB diva follows up 2004's 'Goodies' with this sophomore effort. Whilst not truly presenting any great evolutionin her style, the harsh mechanised electro beats and synthesizer melodies here show that she is still at home with a more cutting-edge sound than many of her contemporaries. Lyrically she continues to be at her best spitting vitriol in thebattle of the sexes. Includes the single 'Like A Boy'. br / br /Best ever album! br /:):):)

4 out of 5 stars The Evolution isn't that extreme but is held rather nicely   June 29, 2007

Ciara's does show a heap of improvement as promise and it did in fact meet my expectations. Her sophomore album shows growth from her Goodies days and lyrically she has matured and is quite creative in what she says. Her voice is on point but serves a different purpose. br / br /Less crunk and more ballads has been driven throughout this entire album. You will fine that the ballad measurement of this CD is way better than on Goodies and the dance tracks is pretty solid but not as hot. The tracks that stand out to me are Get Up, Promise, My Love, I Proceed, So Hard, Can't Leave Em' Alone, and That's Right. Change is a good thing because Ciara doesn't stick to just one in-house producer instead she hauls in big name producers such as the aforementioned Jerkins, The Neptune's, will-i-am, and Sean Garrett makes this an enjoyable as well. I found the track "I'm Just Me" very mellow for a Neptune's production and won't have you believe that it was produce by them making it an average listen. br / br /Ciara is one great entertainer and is very innovative with her style. Her diva personality is very mellow compare to the other artist out there which makes her a good role model for the younger females. RB fans that are looking to get this album should do so being that it's something to groove to or mellow out in. br /

4 out of 5 stars Get an import   April 5, 2007

I bought this from Australia because I just couldn't wait to hear it. It arrived, I was happy. I took the cd out of the case and put it in my cd player. Pressed play. The interlude's annoyed me although I could understand that she wanted to share a message with her fans. Upbeat, funky, some fantastic tracks especially 'Like a Boy'. A little disappointing as Goodies was fantastic.... Great for summer.
