5 out of 5 stars Give the new Gareth a deserving chance!!   June 26, 2007

I cant belive how much this man has changed, i was never really a fan in the pop idol days, and the only song i really liked was "say it isnt so". br /I have really enjoyed both his recent singles, so thought i would give the album a try, i am not disapointed! br /Its a far cry in the right direction from pop idol days, the strengh of his music shows a developed vocal proformance, a rockier edge to some tracks, with sounds of Rod Stewart. br /There is something for everyone on this album, and the nice thing about this ablum is that Gareth has written it all, no more cheesey pop or remakes, this is music from the heart. br /

This album is a million miles removed from Gareth earlier work. Its a very grown up sound, with brilliant melodies on all the songs. Gareth vocals are superb. br / br /Changes: Now I love Changes, but have to say its a grower, so give it a few listen, and listen to the lyrics too, very emotional song. br /Pictures of the other side: A nice up beat track, great song. br /Lost in you: Lost in you is very rocky and shows a side of Gareth not seen before, love it. br /19 min: This is a mid tempo song and of the slower ones, the one I love most on the album, great lyrics, great emotion, and such great melodie. br /New kid in town: This is the most catchy song on the album in my opinion, love it, and hope it will make a single one day. br /Cant believe its over: Again a great ballad but with a rocky ending one does not expect. br /Afterglow: This song was one of the 2 on the album I was not sure of at first, but after a few listen I grown to love it. The chorus is especially fantastic. br /Angel on my shoulder; This is a heartfelt ballad and Gareth sings it with emotion, its very personal to him. As always he excells in ballads. br /Electric: This is a song that wants to make you dance instantly, its got great guitar playing in the song. Very catchy and again a great track. br /Talking Minds: This is the 2nd song I could not take to on first listening, but as Afterglow after a while I started to love it too. Its very different. br / br /In all this album is a must have for music fans, its full of musicality, and I am sure everyone will love most of the songs. br / br /

This is Gareth Gates 3rd album and in my opinion his best. br /Every song on this album to my mind is brilliant which is very unusual. I keep changing my favourites depending on the mood I am in at the time, but what does remain consistent is "New Kid in Town" it is very catchy and upbeat, I do hope that this will be his next single. br /19 Minutes is my favourite ballad on the album, along with Angel on my shoulder. br /It is very different to the songs mostly associated with Gareth and I think will surprise a lot of people. br /All the songs are written and co-written by Gareth and all the tracks are originals. br /I can honestly say that anyone investing in this album will definately not be dissapointed.
