Just great - lovely little video too June 17, 2007 Richard Hammond (St. Albans, UK) 11 out of 14 found this review helpful
About as happy and 'up' as a song about a relationship disaster can be. This is serious pop - honest, fun and good.

br /It's worth pointing out that Kate Nash did the London accent-in-songs thing before Lily Allen. They were, maybe still are, mates and there's been a 'crossover'.
Reminds me of Lilly Allen May 31, 2007 P. Lewis (UK) 11 out of 15 found this review helpful
I love that new song.. I heard it first on the G Vone show on BBC Radio 2 and he was going on about it. Didnt catch on the first time but now its in my head!!

br /A nice song! Pitty they edit the swearing words!
Missing the point August 13, 2007 K. Jones (Norwich) 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
This is a fantastic single. I think people who have bought it are missing the point. Music isn't always about being serious and complicated. Sometimes music is wonderful because we can relate to it, it's fun, it's up beat, and making something magical about something bad. I think it's fantastic, I'm glad I'm not missing the point.
lily allen meets regina spektor May 12, 2007 Brett Jordan (UK) 8 out of 15 found this review helpful
Heard this on 6 Music yesterday... confessional lo-fi doesn't get much better than this, witty and well-observed teenage angst, very british, very quirky. However, very likely to grate after a number of plays.
One word. Avoid February 21, 2008 Tim Healey (Aberdeen) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
When someone releases a first single thy send out a message, they let you know what they're like, give you a taste of what's to come.
br /With this offering Kate Nash is saying you either like me of hate me.
br /As you can tell by the very generous one star I fall into the latter and not the former.
br /Not I have great respect for artists wh0 try to sound different. Regina Spector, Tori Amos, Lily Allan (who people always draw parallels with Kate, I feel sorry for Lily in that case) Goldfrapp. But with Lil' ol' Katie you get someone who talks most of her song in an attempt to connect with the listener, telling us about how her and her beau are have trouble in their relationship. And when she does sing it comes out flat and bored, like she doesn't want to sing it.
br /In my eyes, it could've been and interesting song if only for one thing, the lack of singing or song writing talent on display.
br /If you like someone tring to warble in a "Mockney" accent in a song that would be better done by someone with more ability, then feel free and buy this single. If not then go and buy someone better like the suberb Adele or Duffy.
