Amazing! Refreshing to hear such talent! June 18, 2007 Danny Boy (London UK) 5 out of 7 found this review helpful
I reviewed the sampler of the soon to be released album and I am amazed at the talent this young girl has. She has created her own original music and injected the emotion you only find in some of the great artists of the past century. Her voice is perfect, I would highly recommend this album as one to add to your 'must have' collection. Enjoy!
If it's good enough for George Cloony, it's good enough for me! June 20, 2007 Tom Shields 6 out of 9 found this review helpful
Along with all the A list stars, I too have been wowed by Victoria Hart! This album shows off her beautiful voice with such a fantastic range of material. I love her take of 'Sunny Afternoon' which I will be playing all summer!

I saw Victoria Hart at Glastonbury and I was blown away. Her voice is exceptional. She played a good mix of classics and original material, and it all sounded excellent. Have a listen and you can't fail to be impressed!
What a voice!! July 11, 2007 Moses Wiggins 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Whatever Happened to Romance has to be the classiest release of the year. It's a mix of big band swing and pop, arranged and played with enormous style, and delivered with the sexiest of jazz vocals. Think of Peggy Lee, Marylin Monroe and you will get the idea.

br /Victoria Hart is a breath of fresh air. She sounds by turns sweet, sexy, a bit naughty, naiive, but overall she can SING.

br /One of the songs is a cover of Ray Davies' Kinks classic, Sunny Afternoon, but the rest are originals, and what originals they are! Despite doffing its hat to an earlier age, the lyrics are bang up-to-date, showing a wicked, tongue-in-cheek sense of humour, with some really insightful slants on relationships.

br /The sound of this CD is lush and expensive, perfectly showcasing Victoria's talent. The band includes such luminaries as Neil Drinkwater (Van Morrison), and the Kick Horns (Clapton, M-People...). The quality shines through.

br /The only let-down is the abysmal remix of the title track (C-Looney remix geddit??) which is as charmless as it is mismatched with the rest of the album. Why do record companies do this?

Fantastic August 28, 2007 D. Croft (england) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I went to school with Victoria and she has always been the singing type. This album is great as it is not just an album of covers, but has unique material set to the jazz rhythm. My favourites are chocolates and Strawberries, a girl like me, whatever happened to romance and also her cover of sunny afternoon may even be better than the original!! Buy this album and you will not be dissappointed, it is the beat album to come out ina long time, there is not one bad song on it. It is worth any amount of money!! Her voice may soud immature at the moment but she is only 19 and it is easy to tell that when she does mature she will be a force to be reckoned with....this music has meaning, is funny at times, sad at others, is very well put together. I'm sure that people who trash this are the sort who listen to shallow "pop" by britney and kylie among others...if you want class and not crass buy victoria.
