I really think that this cd will prove to be one of the seminal recordings of 2007. It is a future classic that will be played for years to come. Standout tracks are revenge songs, hold your hair back, I'm your man. You will not be disappointed.

Revenge songs by Jacob Golden is a masterpiece from beginning to end.
br /Beautifully written and crafted, Golden is going to be a big name in folk/pop.
br /I listen to this album every day and hear something new in there all the time.
br /Some of the tracks leave you pondering life itself and some leave you reeling in happiness. This album is going to make Jacob Golden a big star and I cant wait to hear more music from him.

This is a wonderful record. Jacob Golden's real strength is his pride in his own sensitivity and in that he reminds me of Ricki Lee Jones or Neil Young. There's no bluster about these songs; just a real desire for elevation and transcendence, supported by literate, engaging lyrics and melodies with real power and depth. The production also sets this record apart; mainly just guitar and voice but with plenty of backing vocals and delay for extra warmth. There are echoes of Roy Harper's Stormcock here; both records sharing a passion for simplicity and supernatural beauty. This is what music is all about.

I first heard Jacob through another singer's Myspace called Iain Archer. Oh I am so glad I clicked on that one button. I first heard 'Hold You Hair Back' its like you are sitting in a wee hidey-hole and you have this little blanket of sound for cover. Jacob's voice makes you feel safe, personal, loved all with the grain of his voice. As the song builds you start to feel your emotions balloon, his range in vocal has the ability to move your emotions like a sine wave. The crescendo within this dong is untimely, so impressive I near burst with glee.

br /You read about artists and they talk about emotion and passion but you can really feel it with this man.

br /Songs like 'Zero Integrity' and 'Revenge Songs' I could immediately identify with #. I suppose that is one of the secrets identification.

br /Buy this album, you will not regret it. I still listen to it now and feel like it is my first listen
