Customer Reviews:
5 out of 5 stars Good but Bad   February 14, 2008
Mr. Neil B. Symons

The good points of this DVD: br / br /- it features Madonna, whose performance at Live Earth was the most powerful of her career, where she stole the show, blew acts like Foo Fighters and Razorlight into supporting roles and was the only act of the day to have 88,000 people jumping up and down, going bananas and roaring as one. br / br /- It contains highlights of most of the major artists sets, mercifully cuts out most of Metallica and Corinne Bailey Rae and captures the energy of the day long gig. br / br /The Bad points: br / br /- it is only a "highlights" disc. WHich means you dont get to see Madonna perform her signature tune, "Ray of Light" or her biggest hit "Hung Up". You miss out on the full Bon Jovi performance, the full Genesis set and so on. br / br /Its by Warner Brothers, which means its lazy, half assed, incomplete and lucky to have been released at all. br / br /However the performances picked are some of the days highlights. Lets hope a full box set of all performances of this legendary gig eventually gets released.

5 out of 5 stars Brilliant Concert DVD, a lot taken out of original performances but still great   February 11, 2008

This is a good DVD - a lot of the original performances have been cut, but still a superb DVD to have

1 out of 5 stars Great Concert - But Lousy Momentum of the Day!   September 12, 2008
Brian Wheeler (UK)
The Concert was great and if it had been released as a proper DVD Box Set showing most of the concert, I'd give it 5 stars! br / br /However, this 2 DVD + 1CD Set is lousy. One rack from each artist performed and some artists not even featured! The concerts took place in 7 continents over 24 hours and all they can manage to release is this. Very poor!

1 out of 5 stars Disappointing   December 9, 2008
Norm (Thames Valley, UK)
They seem to have take the least well known or worst tracks from each artist and stuck them onto one poorly produced DVD. br / br /I was at Wembley for Live Earth, so I couldn't watch the live transmission, but from the recordings I've seen which were made on the day, the live coverage was a lot more slick and well produced than this. br / br /Don't order it unless it's free, and even then try to haggle.
