Amazon.co.uk Review
Some evidence London indie-grime outfit Hadouken! aren't planning on doing things by the rules: rather than releasing a debut album, iNot Here to Please You/i is the band's debut "mixtape", a twelve track collection of new tracks, refixed old tracks, and remixes of other bands, released on a USB stick to tide over the band's burgeoning fanbase before the album proper. The music itself is similarly unconventional, a day-glo splatter of rave keyboards, choppy grime beats, wobbling basslines and chundering guitars cut and spliced together with seemingly little care for structure or coherency. It's at its best when it's at its silliest--take the chorus of "Liquid Lives", which recalls The Prodigy in all their snotty prime, frontman James Smith chanting "Drink! Smoke! Fuck! Fight!" over scraped-knuckle guitars and clattering breakbeats. The remixes, too, are an inspired idea: Bloc Party's "The Prayer" and Plan B's "No More Eatin'" get peppered with bleeps and dropped in amongst the chaos. Sadly, the mixtape's weaker moments, like "Tuning It"--an unpleasant story of a nightclub seduction that shows off some of James' shortcomings, both as storyteller and rapper--suggests Hadouken! have some work to do before they can pull off a whole album. i-- Louis Pattison/i

now, alot of guys on here are complaining about this because it is either on an 'unusable' USB pen, or they complain because it is one big mix, yes, if you want to get tone track up,it can be annoying, but listen to the WHOLE THING!!! for a start, its all AMAZING, and its great for a long journey. br / br /Even then, its worth it just to hear the new liquid lives remix, it is INSANE,if you liked it before, you'll go nuts when you hear this!! br / br /BUY IT, it's definitley worth it.

Some genuinely good tracks on there, although I'd appreciate included Liquid Lives single tracks. Interested to see what the USB looks like, I'll blatantly be the envy of all my friends... Hmm. Better than downloading, I suppose - cheap too!

Unlike others i didn't have no problems with the USB and i got 2 really embrace the album and i have 2 say it is a whopper!!!! Quirky cool lyrics combined with electronic beats. I really reccomend this for Nu Rave fans.
