It all started early last year when i bought their debut album and from that moment i became the biggest fan of these two twins. Secret life of was simply one of the best album i had heard (judge all you want) but it's one of my favourite albums.

br /A year later came hook me up. This is what i think track by tack.

br /1. Untouched - This song is big, it's pretty epic rock/pop/electro clash with the typical veronicas smashing chorus. 9/10
br /
br /2. Hook me up - When i first heard this i wasn't blow away in fact i thought nooo what have they done, then i gave it a few spins and fell in love with the infectious beats and catchy chorus but this is probably one of the weaker songs on the album. 8/10

br /3. This is how it feels - This is how electrock should sound, smashing through from start to finish and i mean SMASHING and they swear ommm. 10/10

br /4. This love - 80's movie soundtrack much? Yes it does sound pretty dated and kinda cheesy BUT that is what i LOVE about it. Very retro. 9/10

br /5. I can't stay away - This is a bit filler a nice song but it doesn't jump out at you neither is it terrible just not as good as the rest of the songs. 7/10

br /6. Take me on the floor - Rude. Totally awesome though, i love how their voices blend so well together and the beats just mix so well with it. 8/10

br /7. I don't wanna wait - I wasn't sure about this at first but this song is a grower much like "i can't stay away". This is actually the twins favourite song on the album. 7/10

br /8. Popular - I LOVE the lyrics to the song and the beat is funky but some how the song falls kinda short, it is growing on me slightly but this is the weakest song on the album. 5/10

br /9. Revenge is sweeter (than you ever were) - HAHA Love the title. This song is probably me joint favourite on the album i love how it builds on from being this cute song into a killer chorus and a revengeful end. 10/10

br /10. Someone wake me up. When i first heard this song it didn't really hit me but for some reason on the second listen it just hit me really, i can't explain it but the lyrics are heartfelt and i just love it, like all their songs the lyrics are simple and the beats are driven and that's what makes them so damn awesome really, so who cares what the haters think, just keep on singing. 10/10

br /11. All i have - To be honest i haven't listened to this song as much because i keep skipping back to "someone wake me up but like tracks 67 it's a grower. 6/10

br /12. In another life - So sweet. The way they make a piano song have that electronic background and bring the piano over it and then that full band bit in the middle in a way represent the emotions of the song. 9/10

br /Overall if you are a fan of electro/pop/rock music a fan of pop a fan of pop/rock or just a fan of great music then check this out, there is lyrical growth from the secret life of... and the album fits together better but this album is not better than it neither is it better than this. To me both albums are totally different yet totally both enjoyable on different levels so do yourself a favour and buy this album... like now. xo 10/10

br /P.S why aren't the veronicas famous over here? save us from all this boring indie crap that has been invading us, bring the UK some serious fun and some equally serious talent. COME PLAY MORE GIGS IN THE UK

This is one of the BEST albums EVA!!! The tracks are amazing, and I can relate to them sooo much, especially "Hook Me Up"

br /Here are some descriptions of the songs:

br /Untouched: The second single off the album. It is really electric with some strings thrown in making it a unique dance track. It's about the need of having someone and not being able to have them.
br /
br /Hook Me Up: First single. Great for those who LOVE extremely synthesized tunes. It's one of my faves! I can really relate to this song. It's saying, "Get me outta here and take me somewhere new. I tired of these jerks!!"

br /This Is How It Feels: Probably my favorite track on the record. It's really upbeat, and when they sing it live, WOW! I almost jumped over the rail at the concert! It's a great track saying to just back off, this is how it feels. The title says it all.

br /This Love: The third single. It's good. Not my fav, but it's good. I like the chorus. It's really singable, if that makes sense.

br /Take Me On The Floor: Fourth single. DAdaDAdaDAdaDAda! It's talking about having fun on the dancefloor and letting it all out. My second fav on the album. It's awesome and makes you wanna sing and dance! From the catchy chorus to the sick beats, this is a winner!

br /I Don't Wanna Wait: I don't know what to say. I like it, but it gets a little repetitive.

br /Popular: Fifth single. It's really good and electric. It speaks of the privileges of being known.

br /Revenge is Sweeter (Than You Ever Were): This song is just POWERFUL and AMAZING. I love it! It's great for telling your ex to back off and leave you alone.

br /Someone Wake Me Up: It's good. Another one I don't know what to say about.

br /All I Have: My, how the tables have turned! It's saying how they cheated on someone and the guilt they've felt after.

br /In Another Life: Based on Jess's real life experiences. Sad when you think about it. If you listen closely, you can hear the girls sniffling.

br /Goodbye to You: Remake. It's really catchy and this was my out-of-school song this year. GOODBYE TO YOU! GOODBYE.. GOODBYE TO YO-OU!

br /Change the World: At first, I wasn't so sure about this song. After a few listens, it REALLY grew on me! Now I love it! It really makes me feel good about life, and it's about finding yourself and starting out new.

br /4ever: Their first ever single off of The Secret Life of.... Everytime I hear it, I can't help myself from singing it! It's awesome and says don't waste your time and live life!

br /Overall, the album is AWESOME!! I listen to it at least once a day and can't get enough of it! The Veronicas rule! They are two of the sweetest people I've met and EVERYONE should buy a copy of their incredible second (and first) albums!

I regularly listen to this. Hook me up is a great girls song. Loved untouched that was the reason I bought it. I like the rest of the album too.
