This is what Motley Crue are best at, no frills rock and roll . I love this album from the first track to the last and let's face it you can't say that about too many albums out there, the production on the album is fantastic in that it really captures the energy of the band, the Crue are back at thier best and long may it continue !!!!

5 out of 5 stars The Crue's back and this time they brought the Saints!!   July 29, 2008

Ignore the official reviews. This is a stunning Record. The last 3 studio records were by no means bad (crue 94 is brilliant)but they just didn't have of vibe/attitude/feel of Motley Crue..which is why this record is great. Sound, lyrics and melody - you can pigeon hole it across the best of the first 5 records. (well it is a retrospective look back at their career!). Thankfully and rightly the attitude is more Dr Feelgood (heavier guitars and drums...OOH the drums). The only average track is 'Animal in Me'. However the rest are at least 9/10.... Face down in the Dirt, SOLA, Physco Whisky are 10/10 tracks. The last 3 crue albums are basically ignored when considering live sets..3-4 songs of SOLA should become crowd favoutites especially 'face down in the dirt' and 'SOLA'. Who knows? if the band can keep personality clashes and the business side out of the music..they may just get their second coming.

having got back together for the first time in what was years after the dreadfully recieved generation swine album the two new studio tracks they made for the red, white and crue best of album was rusty and un-rehearsed in comparison to their succesful comeback tour so their new studio album banishes that since they have put in plenty of effort and time in making saints of los angelese as the tracks like LAMF, the title track etc are reminiscent of the era whey they burnt a hole in the ozone layer while the mothers locked up their daughters as the crue made themselves known in town die hard fans may not like the modern production techniques surrounding the album but lets appreciate what they have done as since most bands have a unpredicatble personality when getting back together end up imploding just when things are finally getting back into place but considering they are behind plans to launch the crue fest to rival that of the greedy consumanate machine of the now defunct ozzfest festival it seems the party is just around the corner lets hope they bring it to the UK

Been a resident crue fan since the beginning i eagerly awaited this new album, at times over the years a few crue tracks have felt a bit mellow in relation to there Dr feelgood days, but man has that changed, this album is FANTASTIC !!, every track on this album is just awesome. Two of my personal favorites are track 2, FACE DOWN IN THE DIRT and track 11, THIS AINT A LOVE SONG. Crank the volume up and enjoy !! You Will. This a must buy for all true motley fans!!

They are back. Loud, stutting and with the tunes. A fabulous album form one of rocks alltime great bands. It certainly hits you in the back like a true crue album should do. James mitchell's production is excellent and the album sounds raw and alive. Perfect. Now you go and buy it too !!
