This B-Sides/Exclusives Album hasn't actually come out yet but as a huge fan of Fightstar I've heard all of these tracks already with the exception of 'Where's The Money Lebowski?' which is a new track exclusive to this album so I can safely say that this is definately a worthwhile buy for any old or new fan of the band. This album displays songs that range from the heaviest of the heavy to stunning ballads.

br /The acoustic versions of Floods and 99 are definately not just on this album to fill up space as the songs change so vastly from the originals which can be seen more in 99 as the vocal melody has changed to fit the slower and less heavy style.
br /
br /Waiting For Superman is a cover of The Flaming Lips and is fantastic mostly because of frontman Charlie Simpsons stunning vocals. The track also changes a lot from the original song in other ways such as a new drum beat and it is definately one of the more moving songs on this album.

br /Amethyst is taken from the bands debut EP 'They Liked You Better When You Were Dead' and as the EP sold out quickly it is hard to get this song on CD these days. The track is another slower song and I think it is definately one of the better tracks that this band has written because of the singing from both Alex and Charlie and the general great guitar, bass and drum lines.
br /
br /In Between Days is an acoustic track and is a cover of The Cure. The song is quite similar to the original but it varies slightly at tiems such as the fact that it now has a harmonica in it :P.
br /
br /Shinji Ikari is a solo track from Alex Westaway. It's another slower track and while it is well written and sung I didn't take to this track at first. I think it's one that takes a while to grow on you but other people I know have thought it was great from the start so I guess that its just a matter of opinion! Dark Star is also mainly Alex singing but it does feature Charlie for the bridge and parts of the chorus. It's another slow one in the verses and bridge but it picks up the pace in the chorus with Alex and Charlie switching between vocals which makes this one of my favourite Fightstar B-Sides.
br /I think I'm probably boring people now so for Gracious,Fight For Us and Hold Out Your Arms I'll just say that these are up there with the better B-Sides. Fight for Us gets a lot more heavy towards the end but if you're not a fan of screaming you can probably just about live it out. Hold Out Your Arms is an acoustic and is a good listen purely because of the vocals from Charlie in the chorus!
br /
br /Right not many tracks left to talk about now and hopefully you're not bored out of your mind yet. Nerv/Seele and Breaking The Law are the tracks for the fans of the heavy stuff. Lots of screaming, lots of distortion and lots of great guitar/bass lines and amazing drumming.

br /Zihuatanejo is a great ending to this album because the whole track is just a big epic thingggg! It's hard to describe really because its not particularly heavy and not that slow either and yeah...just a great listen!
br /
br /And thats that! Hopefully this has been kinda helpful to you!
br /
br /EDIT: Amazon has the track listing slightly wrong...Zihuatanejo comes before Breaking the Law and the final track is an acoustic cover of the Deftones song Minerva

One of their better albums February 1, 2009 Ms. L. Stephenson (Aberdeen) I have to admit it has taken me a while to get into fightstar, I disliked them when I heard their cover version of minerva by the deftones. However, my friend was listening to their song floods and I was instantly converted, it sounds like it has been inspired by muse, from the piano to the full on rock at the end of the song. The whole album continues in a similar vein the only reason I have not given the album 5 stars is it gets very shouty in some places which can be irritating.
