Award Winning Standard September 29, 2008 Katrina-UK (Stockport, Cheshire, United Kingdom) 17 out of 18 found this review helpful
Equally as good as their first album, in my opinion Blake are the best classical/contemporary group out there. I just love their voices, their choice of songs, their harmonizing...

br /Just sit back, relax, and enjoy this truly wonderful album.
Blown Away September 29, 2008 G. E. Vesey 15 out of 16 found this review helpful
I've just got my copy of And so it Goes through the post and I am totally blown away. Tha album starts with this incredible 'wall of sound' and then into a beautiful filmic string section, that in turns bleeds into the title track, 'And so it Goes'.It sounds breathtaking. It's an absolutely beautiful album. I wasn't sure what to expect after their massive success with the first one, but Blake have totaly exceeded my expectations. They've really matured as a group-true professionals. I'm so pleased they have managed to create an album like this. They have really taking the melding of pop and classical to another level here, and the sound is totally unique and original. I couldn't recommend this too highly. Well done Blake.
I could listen to this album all day long September 29, 2008 Jenny Green (UK) 10 out of 11 found this review helpful
I received my CD this morning from Amazon, and have listened through at least 3 times already. It's a CD I could happily play all day long.

br /My brother bought me the first Blake album last Christmas, which was absolutely beautiful; but this album takes their music to new levels.
br /
br /The songs on this album are as interestingly varied as my own ipod, with songs that suit my mood at different times in the day. Always uplifting.
br /
br /Highlights for me would certainly have to be Blake's version of "Chasing Cars", a sexy version of "Time To Say Goodbye", Meatloafs "Heaven Can Wait" and the beautiful theme from The Mission, "Nella Fantasia".
br /
br /With songs that use full orchestra, electronic instruments, piano, guitar and drums, the mood of the album never stays in one place. The four singers don't always sing in full harmony, instead they sometimes take different solo lines for separate songs. I like this approach alot.
br /
br /This is a much slicker album than the first one, although it still retains that emotional tenderness of the first. I think this album will appeal to everyone from mums to their youngest daughters, because the choice of songs is excellent and contemporary.
br /
br /I guess those that want to listen to hardcore indie bands or equally hardcore classical opera stuff, mightn't like it, but it's not for them.
br /
br /This is a CD for people who love great songs, and want to hear really beautiful versions of them. I've since bought 3 more copies for friends.

Blake are back and even more amazing!! September 29, 2008 Shakespeare Fan (UK.) 9 out of 10 found this review helpful
I could listen to this album over and over again, it is absolutely beautiful.Blake manage to take well known songs from both the pop and classical world and give them a totally new and incredible sound.Their choice in some of the tracks like Chasing Cars and Time to Say Goodbye may seem a bit risky as they are so well known from other singers, but in my opinion the risk paid off. Their voices are so rich and you get to appreciate them both as solo voices and as a group singing in harmony.I really don't think there is one track on the album I don't like, they all seem to compliment each other so well, which given the fact they are a mixture of pop and classical is quite an achievement.
br /I loved their first album and wondered how they would manage to top it with their new one but I think this one is every bit as amazing as the first and could also prove to be an award winner for them too.
Quality Singing November 9, 2008 Dean K. Staub 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This CD has a conservative song selection and a conservative style, which some people may not like. However, the across the board musicianship of this group is superb!! The pitch and harmonies are vastly superior to Il Divo for example, but you have to be able to 'hear' perfect pitch and harmonies and really care about quality, to know the difference.--:)---We don't have classically trained musicians like this in the USA, putting out albums like this anymore, so you don't know how spoiled you are!!-----Blake takes its time in developing its songs and harmonies, and does not AT ALL cater to what will sell!!---They are musicians first and foremost, and if you cannot handle a group's conservative choice to be fantastic singers FIRST before what will appeal to the masses, then don't put them down!!--There are plenty of those good looking expensively 'promoted' groups out there, who are not into the music first and foremost. We have plenty of them in the USA if you would like to have one or more!!--:) Don't ask Blake to be like all these other 'fast-paced, style over substance groups', which are a dime a dozon!!---And thanks to Great Britain, for at least giving groups like this a chance!!---And to you, Blake, I say hats off to you and to your great music!!---I am honored to own both your albums.
