| Customer Reviews: Absolutely worth buying! November 6, 2008 A. H. Abdul Rahim (London, UK) 18 out of 18 found this review helpful
I have pre-ordered this CD, and Jive has already leaked the whole album one week before its release. I LOVED ALL THE SONGS. Every song is different, from ballad to pop, David will not disappoint you! My favourite is "A Little Too Not Over You", "Barrier", "Desperate", "To Be With You" and "Your Eyes Don't Lie". The music is current, and his vocals are masterclass. Absolutely worth buying!
David Archuleta's Debut CD: Pop with a BANG! November 18, 2008 Daniel H. Adams (Jackson, NJ) 13 out of 13 found this review helpful
David Archuleta may have finished 2nd to David Cook in Season 7 of American Idol, but he, too, has proven himself to be a huge talent with whom the music world must now reckon. As evidence, Archuleta's first, pre-album single, "Crush", is a world-wide smash and will soon go platinum, and this CD is well on its way to being just as big. Believe me, the more you listen to "Archie" the more you will be hooked. This kid is a once-in-a-lifetime talent, whose sense of Pop is just waiting to explode with a BANG. For confirmation, check out David Archuleta's Youtube videos, particularly his LIVE performance of Robbie Williams' "Angels", in Tulsa, Oklahoma, during this summer's Idol tour; or simply listen to the Youtube postings of the songs contained herein before you are compelled to rush out and purchase this excellent debut.

br /UPDATE 14 May 2009: As an American who already owns the US release of David Archuleta's debut CD, I suggest you purchase the UK version instead, as it contains all of the really good songs, including "Save The Day", which hasn't been made available to us. Besides containing "Save The Day," another way to know if you're buying the better compilation is if there are two (2) versions of "Crush" included. The first "Crush" is the version that has sold nearly two-million copies in the U.S., and the second "Crush" is the excellent "club" version previously included on the Japanese release of the album. Don't worry: you can't go wrong with either version of Archie's excellent debut, but my pick is the UK edition.
REVIEW June 18, 2009 SJ (SCOTLAND) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The American idol season 8 runner up does not disappoint with his debut album. Great vocals from David, especially on "Hold on". Also impressed with his cover of Robbie williams "Angels" but wish he had included "Imagine" which he first sang on American Idol last year. It's easy listening with some great hooks.. Great for all age's as my 7 year old daughter loves it too. Highly recommended..
True Pop Master-Class July 16, 2009 Chris (Wales) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
being from wales, naturally i heard this lovely fella from the music channels. I heard "crush" and i thought it was truly a good song, so i decided to check Dave out, and I never regret it, The album is a real gem of a pop/rnb song masterclass. With tracks like "My hands" and "Barriers" being personal faves, this guy can only go so far, a real recommendation of an album
Cowellesque claptrap February 12, 2009 James Tobiasen (Cheshire, UK.) 3 out of 32 found this review helpful
the fact that this came from the X Factor production line of third rate, wannabe pop muppets tells you everything you need to know. You would have to be a complete numb nuts to listen to this and actually think it was pop music worth anything more than an excuse for Simon Cowell to grasp for more piles of cash whilst simultaneously raking out the last remnants of the public's dignity and taste, simultaneously through their wallets, their earholes and their eyeballs. Don't buy it - it will erode your soul. Horrible.
