'Right Now' is Leon Jackson's debut album and it is very impressive. It's hard to believe that such a rich and mature-sounding vocal can come from a 19-year-old lad.

br /There's a good mix of jazz, soul and pop. Leon's vocal shines in each of the genres. 'Stargazing' (my favourite), 'Fingerprints' and 'Ordinary Days' are gentle pop songs, with an abundance of acoustic guitar and piano. 'Stargazing' is the stand-out of the three, in my opinion. The soaring chorus and key change near the end of the song give me goosebumps. A truly beautiful song, coupled with Leon's warm and emotive vocal.

br /'Could Do Better' is one of the stand-outs from the 'BIG' songs. It would make a fabulous theme tune for the next Bond movie!

br /'Creative' is due to be released as the next UK single soon. It is upbeat and insanely catchy... and gets stuck in your head after only one or two listens. Leon's vocal is rich and jazzy, and the song itself has a distinct Samba feel to it. Kind of like a Samba-ish, but jazzy Ricky Martin! This song will have you up and dancing every time you listen to it!

br /Moving on to song No.12 - 'Caledonia'. This is the best version I've ever heard of this song. Leon is proud of his Scottish heritage, and it really shows in his heartfelt and emotional vocal.

br /I could write so much more, but it would end up as a huge essay! These songs are all just so good. The combination of such good songs and Leon's superb warm and rich voice, makes this album exceptionally excellent! Time was spent on recording this album and it shows. It oozes class.

After the good but not great first single of Dont Call This Love I was wondering what to expect from the debut album from young Leon Jackson. A totally different singer to the previous winner of X Factor, Leona Lewis, but just as impressive and distinctive vocally, Leon has more in common with the great rat pack artists of yesteryear and for an untrained 19 year-old it is all the more impressive that he has recorded a first album of such distinction, maturity and perfect vocals. It is like a different person takes over when he sings from the shy, nervous youngster so unsure of himself when placed in front of an audience. Songs like the anthemic Stargazing written by Alan Chung, more usually to be found writing for Michael Buble', are immediately engraved in people's heads with the wonderful words and music so rare in many of today's songs. Coldplay would have sold their souls for this song. Then there is All In Good Time - a catchy singalong song which again seems like one of the old school classics but is in fact a brand new song written by Peter Gordeno who has had a hand in a number of the new songs on this debut album including the Jewel in the Crown of Creative, a fantastic ratpack style uptempo song lent a modern edge with a female backing that literally wont leave your head. Why this was never chosen as the first single from the album I will never know. A big mistake in my opinion. The song Could Do Better wouldnt look out of place on a George Michael album tinged with lush vocals and a jazzy score.Ordinary Days is another very good song though suffers in comparison to the three classic songs of Creative, Stargazing and All In Good Time. The covers are all excellent though special mentiom must go to You Dont Know Me and A Song For You which sound like someone singing who has perfected his craft after being in the business for years.
br / A fantastic debut album that sounds like nothing you would expect of someone who has won a television reality show. Give it a go - you will be very glad that you did.

I saw Leon Jackson on X Factor and I did think he had a good voice but I didn't like how most of his performances turned into a "Swing" version, but luckily for him it worked and he won.

br /I'm not a fan of Swing music to be honest, but on this album there is only one song that I would say is Swing, and that's the title track "Right Now" which is actually one of my favourites on the album. "Creative" reminds me a bit like Tina Arena's version of "The Windmills Of Your Mind" (the verse parts anyway) and hopefully will be released as a single. "Misty Blue" and "Caledonia" are two great covers that sound better than the originals. "All In Good Time" and "You Don't Know Me" have a Van Morrison sound to them and are two great songs. "Stargazing," "Ordinary Days" and "Fingerprints" are all great ballads. "Could Do Better" is different from any other song on the album and I really hope it's released as a single as it's one of the best songs on the album. "Don't Call This Love" and "When You Believe" are also included and are two great ballads, his version of "When You Believe" may not be as good as the original but nobody is going to sing a song better than Mariah Carey, but he does do a good job.

br /Leon Jackson's voice really impressed me on this album and I hope the album ends up selling a good amount of copies and he has a successful career as he is very talented.

A stunning debut from young Leon with an overall great mix of tracks and tempo.
br /Highlights for me include the Philly Soul inspired Don't Call This Love, Creative - Most definately should have been the lead single fabulous modern take on swing. Thankfully is the second single.
br /Stargazing written specifically for Leon by Michael Buble's Pianist, Co-writer and music director Alan Chang - fabulous vocals.
br /Ordinary Days a fabulous song that hopefully during his tour Leon will play acoustically.
br /Probably my favourite overall is the stylish Could Do Better.
br /My only slight criticism and it is slight is the covers Misty Blue a bit dated and A Song for You - although i think the vocals are fantastic the song content is a bit old for a 19yr old.
br /Pity the B-side single for Don't Call This Love wasn't included another fab little song Don't Give Up co-written by Leon.
br /Very very impressed and surprised by this debut album.
