The latest outing from former Destiny's Child starlet Beyonce is an intentionally schizophrenic affair. Splitting herself into two separate characters--herself and alter ego Sasha Fierce--is the artist's way of presenting what she obviously sees as an artistic duality. The first set, iI Am.../i is intended give a glimpse beneath the surface of her usual RB-pop persona. Featuring recent single "If I Was a Boy," the soaring "Halo", and ballads like "Disappear", and "Ave Maria", it seems her "real" self is way more saccharine than the lady that brought us sassy pop moments like "Crazy in Love" and "Baby Boy". That side of her personality comes rushing back out on iSasha Fierce/i, a more rousing collection that kicks off with the infectious handclaps of "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)", ventures into Euro-dance territory with "Radio" and gets surprisingly risque with the voyeuristic "Video Phone". Which part of the album you enjoy most will depend on your musical proclivities, But the new, bifurcated Beyonce ensures there's enough diversity to satisfy the most demanding pop aficionado. i--Danny McKenna/i

The double CD divide isnt needed...but it puts forward the beyonce/sasha alter ego!!! br / br /CD1, Beyonce belts out that beautiful voice we love...and shows us her vocal range and her more emotional side in great tracks like 'If I Were A Boy', 'Halo','Smash Into You' and my personal favoruite album track 'Disappear'. This CD shows alot more passion within these gorgeous emotional ballad's. I would rate CD1 more over CD2 but i feel it would work better as a one disk album; br / br /CD2, Sasha unleashed for the first time on a CD. Opening the CD with the floor filling, body shaking 'Single Ladies' Sasha brings the beyonce flair we all adore, and it gets you up on your feet and shaking that tail feather...and its needed as towards the end of CD1 you are graving a good bit of 'Crazy In Love', 'Deja Vu' and 'Get Me Bodied'. 'Radio' and 'Sweet Dreams' are stand out tracks on CD2, where the rest are good, but they seem almost experimental! and CD2 seems to lack consistency! br / br /Over all, Beyonce delivers a very VERY good album, dubbed her best to date, and i would agree, but i think the album would be more easy to listen to if some tracks were cut, and the double CD was contained to just on disk! br / br /Keep it up Beyonce...and the 'Cadilliac Records' soundtrack is also amazing!!!

loved it since the first play. br /i could listen to the "i am..." side over and over again without getting tired of it. her vocals in "smash into you" are just amazing, it's a beautiful song. but i love "sasha fierce" side as well! br /i can't really name a favorite song... i love every single one.

This album is beautiful in every way. 10/10 for Beyonce! br /This will be HUGE and it deserves to be with all the effort she put into it. br /People say that she just copies other peoples work but this is NOT TRUE! br /'If I Were A Boy' is NOTHING like ciara's 'Like A Boy.' I personally LOVE both of these tracks and they are not alike WHAT SO EVER! br / br /I am... is better than Sasha Fierce in my opinion although they are both great. br / br /My Top 5 are (in no particular order) : Broken-Hearted Girl br /Ave Maria br /Disappear br /Halo br /Hello br / br / br / br /EVERYONE should buy the deluxe version as it is only £1 more and 'Smash Into You' is great. br / br /This album deserves to be heard by everyone!
