Took me back to 1973 when I saved up pocket money to buy the LP.
A Gem Beyond Expectation September 25, 2009

These two early albums capture the beauty, innocence and purity of Marie Osmond the World came to love during the `70s. All 20 songs on here are timeless pieces of music and sung with feeling as only she can. It is hard to believe that Marie was only 14 when she sang Paper Roses, but the maturity that she brings into this and other songs on the two albums underlines the wholesome and inborn talent that she possesses.

br /The 25 Hits Special Collection released years earlier included 9 of the songs but the other 11 are possibly on CD for the first time. "Everything is Beautiful" and "Its Such a Pretty World Today" are two uplifting songs which were not on the Collection as are the wonderful "Its Just the Other Way Around" and "Invisible Tears". Other favourites here include "Fool no. 1", "Least of All" (absolutely beautifully sung) as well as the two title tracks.

br /I have to mention that my two pre-teen daughters absolutely adore this CD and for the past two weeks have been singing along in the car every morning as I drive them to school. I know that her fans will not require a second invitation to buy this but those of you who only know her for Paper Roses please give these classic albums a try. I'm sure you will not be disappointed.
