5 out of 5 stars raw!   April 13, 2009

Great album! Let them have it all, bad candy and you stole the sun standout tracks, real energy and nice to hear something with some balls. The one beauty of the album is bouncing bomb, with its swooping chorus. Recommended if you want no nonsense tunes, extra grit than your usual indie...

5 out of 5 stars A Weapon of an album!   April 14, 2009

Watch out Britain and the World these three lads have a serious weapon to take control of music as we know it! With their Mancunian twang and rhythmic beats they are a force to be reckoned with. From Bouncing Bomb to Bad Candy the lyrics run like a train one after the other dropping off perfect poetry that is a pleasure to the ears. This album is simply a must ladies and gentlemen.

It's an absolutely mega album! br / br /I also saw them live, and they were great live too. br / br /There isn't a weak track on this album; they're all pretty damn decent tunes. br / br /As soon as I received my copy I played it full blast through my huge tower speakers and it was brilliant! br / br /This is a must buy! One of the best albums this decade! br / br /Twisted Wheel are on it. br /

5 out of 5 stars Good old fashioned rocknroll   April 20, 2009

Twisted Wheel , don't try anything new , so what- it's all been done before anyway. What they do, is deliver a great debut with tons of attitude and plenty of guts. Recent single We are Us is uplifting and comparisons with the Clash are close, but I'd say it's more like Malcom Owen's post-punk outfit the Ruts ,with thumbs-up from the Gallaghers and mr Weller whom still sell impressive ammounts ,who am I to argue , I've also caught them live and boy do they deliver !

4 out of 5 stars The future from the past   April 12, 2009

I saw these guys supporting The Enemy in Swindon and despite the sound not being the best, the powerful music and down-to-earth but clever and often biting lyrics were enough to convince me I may have been watching THE band of 2009. Though their list of influences may be discerned from the tracks on the album, they haven't simply reworked older ideas from classic bands like The Clash, The Jam, SLF, The Buzzcocks, The Ramones and the like. This album is of a fresh new band with a touch of nostalgia for the greats. There are a lot of bands barking up the same tree right now but these lads have got the mix pretty much spot on. Buy it and enjoy it..!!!
