5 out of 5 stars Analogue and Awesome   July 14, 2009

This LP sounds so so good on vinyl. The best LP I've heard in a looong looong time. Played this album 3 times already I haven't even had it 24 hours. Will be buying another just incase I damage/play to death this one. Very phat full sound. A shame new bands dont record in analogue, it sounds so much more natural. br / br /A good mixture of guitars keyboards, with some excellent vocals some itchy drumming. More of the same please. br / br /

5 out of 5 stars Strange and oddly compelling   July 15, 2009

JW and all can never be accused of compartmentalisation, a strangely creepy mix of industrial voodoo this, music for discerning listeners not quite like anything I've heard before. Some great riff, beats and funky bass too, vocalisations are pretty dark but open the door and turn the volume up. It'll will never chart and thank goodness for that, Lux Interior must be spinning in the ground. Clever stuff and worth a punt.

No comparisons to previous amalgamations needed.Infact forget 'em. This band and this album are just so damned good. The best thing that I've heard in yonks and yonks......................and yonks.

Well l can't, anyhting the Jack White does is brilliant, big fan of White Stripes and the Raconteurs so this will be blinging. Caught them at Glastonbury and they sounded great. Keep it comong Jack.

5 out of 5 stars Epic ensemble - recording par excellence   November 8, 2009
Stevie B (Derby, Greater Mancunia)
Bought this on the strength of Jack White's back catalog with the White Stripes and The Raconteurs. br /I'd seen the Kills on TV (Glastonbury) and was impressed with Alison Mosshart's moody raunchy delivery in the style of PJ Harvey. br / br /This fusion seems so natural - almost like the 4 members had been waiting for this to come together. br /The sound takes me back 30-40 years and yet sounds so fresh. br / br /If you can't get to see the band live then get this album - you won't regret the investment. br /If you can get to see the band then get the album 1st - it makes the live experience even better! br /If you're anything like me you'll be hooked and waiting with baited breath for the new material.
