5 out of 5 stars The King of Hip Hop doesn't disappoint!   November 2, 2009

I have to say i am surprised at most of the reviews of Blueprint 3 i have read so far, I have played this album from start to finish without skipping a track probably 10 times so far and i am still not getting bored! br / br /The production is top class, and lyrically Jay Z is on top form. I would go as far as to say this is some of the best stuff he has put out since The Blueprint and Reasonable Doubt, and "Empire State of Mind" is one of the tracks of the year by a long mile! br / br /To keep producing music of this standard after all these years takes some doing, thats why Jay Z is the King of Hip Hop, it is mostly commercial stuff but thats where Jay Z sits within Hip Hop, you dont buy a Jay Z album if you are looking for underground or experimental hip hop.

5 out of 5 stars Jay-Z's best since the Black Album   September 28, 2009

I bought this not too long ago. I must admit it's one of his better albums since the Black Album. With so many collaborations from artists from the likes of Alicia Keys, Rihanna, Kanye West, Pharrell and Luke Steele from the group Empire of the Sun, this guy can't wrong. br /Mostly a lot of tunes I keep repeating everytime. Most of them was really good. br / br /Although Jay-Z still has his follwers of fans, I think it's definately worth a buy. br /Anyone who hates this album, what are you thinking? br /You don't know Jay-Z, you don't know his music. br / br /Thumbs high for this one!

Difficult to find a weak point. Quality album, very solid production and sharp lyrics as always. Stand outs include tracks 1,5,9, 10 11. Good guest appearances especially from Alicia Keys Kid Cudi

disagree with previous reviewer about track choices infact think the weakest on the album is the jeezy track real as it gets but still think that is a 3star track, maybe I just dont get jeezy. but I do get the sound jay is going for quite unlike any rap albums out there. and kanyes got a couple of verses sounding like he did on college drop out, top class. Having grown up with his albums (I'm 29) really appreciate all of them although blueprint 2 and kingdom come had a couple of stupidly bad tracks on overall jay never lets down. br /thank you opens it up brilliantly "beautiful music when champagne flutes click" got me excited then the whole other rapppers brick, building, plane second hand smoke stuff killed it. makes it sound easy and classy. I would say this album is up there behind the black album and reasonable maybe on a par with american gangster. just my opinion folks.cheers

In my opinion, the best Jay-Z album since the original blueprint. Fantastic album, my favourite hip hop album of the year.
