5 out of 5 stars Solid comeback single with a brilliant remix   September 21, 2009

It took a few plays before I could fully appreciate this sunny, classic disco influenced comeback single. Whitney's voice has certainly changed but it's actually a relief to hear less gloss and more vulnerability in her vocals. Alicia Keys' lyrics cleverly seem to touch on aspects of Whitney's personal life whilst more generally expressing the joy that a new relationship can bring. br / br /The Swizz Beatz production has a lovely, organic feeling - it's the kind of happy, soulful disco you might expect from early eighties releases from Michael Jackson, Chaka Khan or Luther Vandross. br / br /The Freemason's radio edit is brilliantly simple but effective. As with so much of their work, the vocals song structure remain intact but there is this instictive understanding of how to make a track more catchy. The uplifting vibe is maintained but is underpinned by a surging bassline that pushes things along.

I cant say too much about it other than OMG, buy this because it's the return we always wanted... Amazing, soulful and beautiful and funky. It's like Single Ladies 2009. Stunning. This just has to be No.1

Whitney returns with the first UK single from her forthcoming new Album - I look to you. An fantastic and mature pop song co-written by Alicia Keys. Caution it has a highly infectious chorus that grabs you and won't let go...

Worst piece of junk around at the moment, irritating noises throughout the song. Has it done my head in yet??? YES! As for the remix...trash that too! Thinking about it, I never was a Whitney fan... Why has she come back? Go away!
