Excellent Read May 9, 2009 P. Clyne (Stonehaven, Scotland) 10 out of 12 found this review helpful
After having followed the final months of Jades life through the press I was keen to read what was happening "behind closed doors" and to hear of her experiences through this tragedy.

br /This was an honest account from Jade about her illness, her love for her boys and Jack, her relationship with her mother and her life in the press. As well as being heart wrenching at parts she made me laugh out loud as well all know Jade was famous for her "jadisms!"

A heartbreaking read May 1, 2009 Calliope (UK) 9 out of 11 found this review helpful
I was surprised by some of the negative reviews of this book. Jade tells her Cancer battle, and the emotions related to it - with simplicity and honesty. You can almost hear Jade reading it to you. It is true that she isnt the only person to have died of this awful disease - but by making her battle so public, it enabled others to empathise with her, and recall their loved ones - who either won their battle or didnt. I dont know how Cancer sufferers would have felt reading this book. But from a Carer's perspective - it made me cry, and smile in parts. If courage alone and a brave fight - cured Cancer - no-one would die of this horrible disease. Whether you liked Jade Goody or not. She was honest, open and tried to put right wrongs she may have done. She was a good mother and didnt repeat mistakes made in her own childhood. She was a generous forgiving soul. Jade had a hard start in life, and a cruel end to it - plus several years of fame and fortune. I lost both my parents to Cancer and like Jade they showed me not only how to live with dignity, courage and compassion - but how to die with it. Dont buy this book expecting an easy read, it makes you revisit places you might not like or enter them for the first time.

br /Take away the contoversy, the celebrity, the divided opinions, this is an honest diary of a courageous young woman, a mother, and (all too) briefly a wife.
br /
br /As I read it I was moved to tears, to laughter, to hope, and to anger at this cruel disease on more than one occasion.

Jade Goody Forever In My Heart Book May 9, 2009 Ms. Wendy Jane Goodwin (England) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I only started following Jade Goody when she was diagnosed with cancer last year. I was only familiar with her in Big Brother, but knew nothing about her. Her story touched my heart, and i found myself wanting to find out as much as i could about her,i was surprised how much her death has affected me,like it has with so many people. This book is a MUST for any jade fan. It concentrates only on the matter in hand and as it,s written as a Diary,it takes you through jade,s days step by step. I could,nt put it down until i had finished. It contains some very explicit deep stuff and jade speaks very frankly and honestly about her symptoms, treatments and how she is feeling. Another reason i think so many people loved jade for was her openess and honesty. This really brings home the true extent of this wicked cruel illness, having lost my brother to cancer my heart goes out to her family. She was taken well before her time, and i cannot understand how her illness kept being missed until it was too late. Her mother writes the last few entries to finish the book. I cannot fault it in any way. Jade has even included a Wish List for her beloved boys at the end of the book, and of corse all proceeds go to a very good cause. Jade was a truly brave woman and i am pleased that she managed to do the things that she wanted to do before she died. Her family and friends must be so proud of her.
