4 out of 5 stars The best there is, it seems.   April 16, 2009

Actually the publisher's description is pretty fair. The book is just right for medical students whose first language is not English but have already reached let's say a good B1 level (at least) in general English. Its chapters provide a complete framework of subjects which are relevant to most corners of the medical profession and is essential study material even for medical specialists (who probably know the vocab of their own field anyway). On the negative side it lacks reading passages which are interesting and up-to-date, and the exercises are a bit limited maybe. But if an ESP teacher has to chose 1 book then this is it.
