5 out of 5 stars WE NEED MORE DJ'S LIKE THIS GUY IN THE UK!   October 19, 1999

James Whale eat your heart out there is only one shock jock and that man is Howard Stern. This guy makes Chris Evans seem like Mr Popular but when you read this book you end up having to love the guy. Not many DJ's say what is on their mind live on air let alone partake in some of the naughty games that Howard does. Private Parts is an excellent read. Learn how Howard started off as a nobody and became one of the most listened to DJ's. Howard takes you through his life whilst insulting a lot of celebrities along the way. Some of the references may well be very American but this doesn't ruin this excellent book. I had already seen the film before reading this book. I actually think the book is much better (and that is saying something!). A certain must read!!!!!

4 out of 5 stars Why isn't he more well known in the UK?   August 29, 1999

Private Parts is a extremely funny read, Howard Stern proves not only that he can write but that he can write with both wit and humility. Sometimes at the same time. A few of the people he talks about are unfamiliar to those outside the US, but the fact you laugh anyway is testiment to Stern's writing.pDon't be put off by the 660 pages, it's big writing and you can't put it down anyway. Chris Evans eat your heart out.
