| Customer Reviews: Simply entertaining November 3, 2007 J. Coyle (Lancaster, UK) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I actually really liked this book - and I did not expect to. Okay, it's not deep but it's a really easy read, escapist, lively and quite fascinating when retelling tales from his friendship with Michael Jackson. Some good pictures too.
br /I thought DG had an interesting life. He came over as a rather honest person - upfront about his own faults and his rather large ego!
br /I recommend this to anyone who is interested in the older-style Hollywood. Perhaps I enjoyed this because I'm nearer David Gest's age range than other reviewers?
br /He did not sound that nuts to me!!

What a load of Tripe August 7, 2007 L. L. Williamson (United Kingdom) 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
After watching David Guest on 'I'm a celebrity' and 'Grease' I thought he was an interesting and funny man, albeit slightly weird. After reading his autobiography I realise he is just weird! This is by far the worst read I have had in a long time. One page David is discussing his upbringing and then he starts writing complete lies about cousins by the names of Dickie, Ding Ling and Ring Ling. However, the lies (which are always written in italics to indicate it isn't truthful) are beyond being funny and the majority of them are pretty sickening. He has a wild imagination but it is quite disturbing and I cant help thinking he is just a complete nutter. Not worth the read because you just cant trust when he is lying and when he isn't. I think the boundaries are blurred even to him.
