A must read for any Osbourne fan May 23, 2005 19 out of 20 found this review helpful
This is a really great book that's easy to read (I read the whole thing in a weekend). There's lots about the last few years since The Osbournes started, going right up to X-Factor, the Tsunami appeal and those Asda ads. Some of the best bits, however, are the chapters about her life before she was famous, including the feud with her (scary) dad and her early days as a manager when she was just as feisty as she is now! It turns out her life has been just as crazy as her husbands' with all its mad highs and lows. From her turbulent relationship with Ozzy during his drinking and drug-taking years to her battle with cancer and Jack and Kelly's spells in rehab, this book is full of good stories about the whole family (even Aimee). There are some interesting pictures of her before she had surgery too, so you can see quite what a transformation it was. A must-read for anyone who's a fan of the Osbourne clan.
Unputtdownable! May 23, 2005 17 out of 18 found this review helpful
This book tells you all about the Sharon Osbourne behind the headlines. It's a fascinating read and full of stuff I didn't know about Sharon - all about her strange childhood and tons of heartache over the years. brIt's written in a fast, pacey style and once you start reading you won't be able to put it down. She comes across as really likeable and a really interesting character.brI took it on holiday with me thinking it would last the week and I'd finished it in 3 days! I'd definitely recommend it.

A story about a ordinary woman who deals with family life, children, husband, business, career, looking good in an extraordinary environment.pSharon has lived the high's and lows of life from one extreme to another. Coming from an advantaged background you learn how she grew up in an unusual environment for a child. The adoration of a father who inspired her to succeed. How she built her business enterprise through blood and guts and determination. pHer heart renching love affair with the man who is still the centre of her world. How she shaped and saved his life and how perfect a match they are for each other. Dispite lifes challenges drugs, alchohol, rock music, she survived and became stronger.pIt also looks at an ordinary woman bringing up her children struggling with emotional issues. A mother who loves and cares deeply for all her children. Who like any other wants the best for them, and learned that showing them a loving relationship was empowering for her too. pTo cope with a life threatening illness and show such a positive attitude to survive and live again.pShe is the centre of the Osbourne family unit and is very much loved by her family.pThis book looks at the ups and downs of her life. It takes into account the pressures of being famous, media and TV life, her astute business ideas, how when knocked down she gets back up and does one better.....pHow MTV and Ozzyfest made them rich and famous - The Queen in the music business.pA truly gripping book..........Could not put it down.......get hooked and enjoy.pShare in the laughter, heartache, fun and fasination for a FAB family.
I didn`t know sharon was riding round in limousines and wearing diamonds before she even met ozzy.. May 5, 2008 Leeds lass (England) 9 out of 11 found this review helpful
Her father might have been a tough nut to crack but he was as soft as putty in sharon`s hands, and she wanted for nothing right up to her twenties..then she got involved with ozzy and it was all downhill from there - for a while anyway. Absolutely no doubt about it, ozzy would have died in some seedy hotel from alcoholism years ago if not for sharon. This is a great read and i read in it a few hours, i would highly recommend it. However, while ozzy is getting older and mellowing, sharon seems to be getting wilder, as though she still has a point to make. Maybe the massive weight loss and the ton of plastic surgery etc, have given her so much confidence she doesn`t know what to do with it all, and she feels she has to be the centre of attention everywhere she goes. I absolutely was not impressed by the way she behaved with the royals - ie grabbing camilla`s breasts, pinching charles`s, william`s, and harry`s bums, and using foul language. That is not funny - that is downright lewd and disrespectful and sure to get your name crossed off the invitation list next time. She appears to be doing all the things she spent years trying to stop ozzy doing. I got a bit tired of her constantly telling us she is `just like her father and no-one better mess with her` - otherwise she would physically hurt them - and lots of times she actually did - even to the point of trying to run down her own father. It all made her come across as a bit of a bully i`m afraid. There is a world of difference between being a tough, fair person who earns respect - and screaming and shouting and threatening physical abuse to get what you want - and sharon has not yet learnt that.
br /I would love to have sharon`s money but i wouldn`t have any part of her life at any price. I enjoyed this one but i won`t be buying any more of sharon`s books, i don`t feel she has any more to tell as this one goes from her childhood right up to practically the present day.
br /Sharon really needs to calm down now and stop attention seeking, she has nothing to prove, and her behaviour is not very becoming for a woman heading up to sixty.
