5 out of 5 stars Actually it's not bad....   July 28, 2008

Normally I don't read autobiographies but I picked this up in a charity shop and bought it more out of curiousity than anything else. I didn't know much about Jodie Marsh except that she was a glamour model who turned up to launch parties wearing practically nothing. I saw her being bullied on Celebrity Big Brother and felt very sorry for her. Reading this book, which was very easy to read, and surprisingly somewhat of a pageturner, I actually found myself sympathising with the author and both liking and disliking her at the same time. I disliked her for writing personal things in her books about her exes and giving them marks out of ten for their performances in bed yet I liked her for being a fun party girl who wasn't afraid to speak her mind and dare to put herself out there despite her knockbacks and her critics. Jodie Marsh is something of a contradiction. She has a warm heart and was particularly devastated by the death of one of her close friends which she describes in the book. I was actually crying when I read that bit, but her desperation to be liked and accepted by the public is a bit disturbing. The glamour model comes across a kind of a lost soul but I did enjoy reading her book though and I hope she sorts herself out and does well in the future.

5 out of 5 stars Frank and to the point!   January 31, 2006

I have just finished reading this book and it was brilliant! It is frank, brutally honest, to the point but most of all it let us see the real jodie marsh and not a perspective painted by the tabloids! I#x27;d recommend this book to anyone!! To those who continually slag her off......I#x27;d say read her book first before judging her!

i have just finished the gorgeous jodie marsh's autobiography, and it blew me away!brit shows that she is not some 'jordanisque' bimbo, this girl has brains!brKeeping it real is extremely moving and beautifully written, showing incredible compassion and intellect throughout.brBeing an essex girl myself (i live in romford), i could totally relate with jodie's upbringing of a girl living in essex.brThe only downside is its not long enough! i had the feeling jodie had so much more to tell.I just couldn't put it down and finished it in one afternoon.brI have now read both jodie marsh and jordans biography, and for me there just isnt a contest. Jodie's is witty, emotional, intelligent, and intriguing. jordans is rather boring and bitchy, with no real meaning.bri would definately reccommend this book to everyone. she is not everything she seems!

Once I started reading I couldnt put it down This is Jodie and she holds nothing back I found it frank , honest and well written Many people will compare it to Jordans book but unlike Jordans Jodie has left nothing out and unlike Jordans new book Jodie hasnt slagged Jordan off. It gives you an insight into what it was like growing up unable to fit in and why she wanted to be a glamour model This book is jodie laid bare and it is fantastic

this booke is well good m8 coz usully i dont rely read books you no coz i prefere going down weatherspoons + getting kronked on snakebit and black, but i proper got into this you should definatly read it its rly easy n all, any idiot cud read it butt at the same time i reckon it can be apretiated on a much hier level, its realy a social comentry and is subtley but undoubtabley questioning out-dated taboos held by the vast majority of the western world over trivial issues concerning class boundaries and social norms. Surely on a par with Steinbeck and Sallinger.
