Prince Phillip speaks his mind in this crazy PC world and you cant hep but laugh at what he says some of it is totally true. one of the best quips and comments here ever, the best purchase in a long time
Duke of Hazard September 27, 2009 J. Laville (UK) A brilliant book full of the Dukes gaffes(or were they premeditated utterances)?
br /The Duke is a breath of humour from a byegone era and his wit shows an uncommon intelligence combined with a healthy disregard for conformity in our overly PC correct society.
br /Highly recommended reading for the brainwashed Brits.
A great light-hearted read. July 1, 2006 John Nunn (Coventry, U.K.) 38 out of 41 found this review helpful
Not a massive book by any imagination, this text provides some great insight into not only the social gaffs of Prince Phillip, but also some of the context around them. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who once heard a comment made by Phillip and then laughed, he may not be the most politically correct individual but he is a very socially astute one, with a highly acerbic sense of humour.
Blunders and Brilliance February 6, 2009 K. J. Crombie (Paris, France) This was quite an entertaining read, and the book is divided into sections so you can skip from one to another - Head of the Family, the Entertainer, the Original Green Man. Many of the quotes are laugh-out-loud funny, and especially so when the circumstances in which they were said is understood.
br /Some of the quotes, however, do not provoke a laugh, they instead cause the reader's mouth to drop open in disbelief that something so careless and cruel could actually be said out loud, in public, by a man who has had a lifetime's experience of being in the public eye.
br /Some of the quotes, however, simply show a man who has plenty of common-sense and is unafraid to cut through any PC jargon he sees as nonsense.

br /Some of this book will make you laugh, other parts will dismay you. It all adds up to a man who may be a curmudgeon, but he works hard, is honest and straight-to-the-point, and does not suffer fools gladly, if at all.
