this was one of the best books i have read in a long time, loved the characters of the draper family and the whole idea of the family code. This is probably my favourite kitty neal book and cant wait for her new one to come out in 2009 x

What an awful book. The chain of events is plausible but the dialogue is awkward, clumsy and the prose very repetitive. I don't need to be told three times that someone is scared of another person - I am sure that the reader understands this and should be allowed to exercise their imagination? Perfect for a fan of unthreatening family stories but with the central adult theme of the family business, I can't quite see who it's aimed at.
