Batshuayi linked with sharp exit

Michy Batshuayi is being linked with a surprise return to Marseille in January after struggling to establish himself at Chelsea.

Chelsea paid just short of £33million to bring the striker to Stamford Bridge in the summer but his first-team opportunities have been limited and a sharp exit could be on the cards.

Blues boss Antonio Conte has preferred to play Diego Costa as a lone striker, and after the Spanish international chipped in with six goals, Batshuayi has struggled to get a look in.

It has also been suggested that Conte did not want to sign the player and would be happy for him to move on when the transfer window re-opens.

Marseille would not be able to take the striker back on a permanent deal but a loan move for the remainder of the campaign has been suggested.
