Burnley are bracing themselves for more interest in defender Michael Keane, following reports Chelsea are in the hunt.
The Clarets did well to fight off interest from Premier League Champions Leicester City, who failed with at least two bids in the summer, but that is not the end of the matter.
Reports are now rife that Chelsea are showing a strong interest in the former Manchester United central defender and could launch a bid in the January transfer window.
Chelsea did sign David Luiz just before the closure of the last transfer window, but they are in the hunt for John Terry's long-term successor, and have identified Keane as a possible target.
The Blues have been linked with a whole host of defenders throughout Europe, but they would prefer to bolster their quota of home-grown players, and Keane fits the bill.
Burnley could now react by trying to tie Keane down to a bumper new deal, but Chelsea's interest is sure to turn his head.
