Double defensive concerns for Moyes

Double defensive concerns for Moyes

Lamine Kone has joined Jason Denayer in the treatment room and both are doubts for Sunderland's trip to face Stoke City on Saturday.

The Ivory Coast international is suffering from a tight hamstring and could miss Saturday's bottom-of-the-table Premier League clash.

Denayer picked up his adductor muscle problem playing for Belgium's Under-21 side in Montenegro last Friday, coming off after just 33 minutes of the Under-21 European Championship qualifier.

Sunderland manager David Moyes is also without Vito Mannone, Seb Larsson, Jan Kirchhoff, Lee Cattermole, Steven Pienaar and Adnan Januzaj for the match at the bet365 Stadium.

Midfielder Cattermole is out having had an epidural and an injection in his hip to address pain in his legs.
