Everton may face a battle to keep hold of Romelu Lukaku as Premier League rivals Manchester United have been linked with the striker.
Lukaku was linked with a Goodison Park exit during the summer but a move failed to materialise.
However, the 23-year-old Belgium striker has indicated he wants to play for a club who are regulars in the Champions League and could be open to a January exit.
Everton are understood to be keen to open contract discussions with Lukaku but if a deal can't be reached he could well be on the move, either in January or at the end of the season, as his current deal expires in 2019.
The Merseyside outfit will demand a huge transfer fee however, as reports during the summer indicated Everton had placed a £75million asking price on Lukaku's head.
United are said to have sent scouts to watch Lukaku in Everton's draw with Crystal Palace and they may launch a double raid on Goodison Park as defender Seamus Coleman has also been mooted as a potential target for Old Trafford boss Jose Mourinho.
