Dimitar Berbatov opened his scoring tally for Manchester United with a brace in last night's Champions League win against AaB Aalborg.
Wayne Rooney open the scoring on 22 minutes, sliding home a pass from Ryan Giggs.
Berbatov doubled the lead ten minutes after half time, taking advantage of a defensive mix up. He added his second on 79 minutes, volleying in a right wing cross from Cristiano Ronaldo.
United put on a first class performance but injuries to Paul Scholes and Rooney overshadowed the win.
Scholes left on crutches with a knee injury after just 16 minutes following a challenge by Thomas Augustinussen
Rooney limped off in pain just before the hour and was replaced by Carlos Tevez.
Tevez had the ball in the net almost immediately, but referee Olegario Benquerenca ruled out the effort for handball.
